Setup a Cloud Phone System on AWS

One of the methods that we used when we want to install a free phone system on AWS is:

•Create a free AWS account free tier (free for the first year).
•Create a PBX account like 3CX account also its free for the first year.

First we create a free AWS account from this link

and when it finish remember the account was free for 12 months and after that some components will always free you must enter your credit card information and don’t be scary the account is free they only hold 1$ for 3-5 days to verify your identity, and for support for the plan you must choose Basic support-free.
After that the account become ready.

2.In the beginning we must go to IAM Identity and Access Management and create a user from add user bottom

and input the user name we want, and select Programmatic access from AWS credential type

and then click next and select attaching existing policies directly and select to this user access these policies:

AmazonEC2FullAccess
ServiceQuotasReadOnlyAccess

Then press next and next and create user (finish) and you must download the.csv file that contain Access key ID and Secret access key.

3.Create key pair in EC2 filed
rename it and choose pem file format the file automatically will be download

4.Go to AWS Marketplace
and go to Discover products and search for Debian 10

and choose continuo to subscribe (its free) and Accept Terms and click on Continue to Configuration

and you must name the EC2 Instance “Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud Instance “and choose the EC2 type the free tire (like T2.micro) and choose the Key pair in node 3 wait until the installation complete.

5.Go to one of PBX site like 3CX site for example and create a free user for 1 year and confirm your email.

We will receive a message with link, we should register our information like phone number and create a password
and then we must go to My Subscription in portal link and follow the steps bellow:

Step 1 choose Self host in your Cloud.

Step 2 select country, time zone and language.

Step 3 choose your extension length.

Step choose your Domain.

Step 4 Provider selection select your Cloud
Provider(Amazon–AWS) and enter the Access key ID and
Secret access key in node number 2,select Region
(same region in AWS you choose)

Step 5 Provider setting
we must select a unique machine name
same region in our account
select key pair (in node 3 )
select Machine type (the free tire machine )

step 6 Agree the user agreement

step 7 installation

and your PBX is begin installed ,after the install is finish you will receive an email contain the username and password and all the link for controlling page and installing the software .

6.Finally you can add a number from Extensions or users, we can add users and specific a number to them and give the user their QR code to login from their phones .

7.The user must install 3CX on their phones and scan their QR code and they can use the program to calling each to others with very clear and good sound.

Example of a problem and a solution

We had a problem in our office, the problem is summarized by the failure of the main board of one of the main modern servers that we bought about 5 years ago, Our team don't able to maintain the server and we don't have a backup server.

When we visited the main maintenance center that located in another city that far 100 km away, they told us that there were no spare parts for this server product because it is considered old in the terms of the market and there are lots of models made after it!

The solution is to buy another server device, he work was suspended for approximately 4 months due to maintenance diagnosis and our office don't have enough money for buying a new server device in a specific time .

we was waited until the money available to purchase a new server close to the specifications of the idler server, the work were stopped and there was a significant delay.

The safest , fastest and the cheapest solution that we didn't know about it at that time was the "cloud server"

The problems of having data centers in our country are:

Providing stable and continuous electricity and a enough UPS.
Providing cooling, especially in the summer.
Provide enough financial to purchase servers,
network racks, spare devices , network devices , and others.
Providing an internal network for computers.
Providing a suitable room for the data centers.
In most days, we turn off servers manually at the end of the official working hours because we need the server only for specific hours of day (8 am - 2 pm ), and their are no electricity after that time (because the main electricity source is cutting) , and this is not true ( the shutting down )because it reduces the lifespan of the server.

Where in cloud computing things are very flexible
solution

Things in clouds are very flexible. It is possible to set up a server with the required of hardware in short time.
Servers (EC2) can be shut down easily and immediately , which mean reduce in cost. You only pay for what you use and on time.
It is possible to upgrade a server hardware (such as increasing or decreasing the storage capacity , random memory processor or changing its family types).
if the server (EC2) is down , we can changed it by creating another one easily and quickly.

5.It is possible to take advantage of the multi databases provided by cloud computing companies.

In case of fear of sharing our data on the Internet, it can be placed in a local server (on premises) and linked to the EC2 with the application on the cloud server.
We only need to provide our users in good internet service.
It is possible to connect to the server (EC2) from anywhere with a key and password is for each users.

9.There are many other services as well, such as Artificial Intelligence AI, Machine Learning ML, Internet Of Things IOT, and many others.

AWS AMAZON WEB SERVICES, leading companies in the cloud field of computing and offers a free one-year (free tier ) account to offering over 200 fully featured of amazing services.

There are a lot of certificates that amazon company provides for the basic and advanced levels with a lot of free training courses and a lot of supports in most fields of clouds computing.

لماذا نستخدم AWS

مثال عن مشكلة و حل

كان لدينا مشكلة في دائرتنا تتلخص المشكلة بعطل بورد احد أجهزة الخوادم الرئيسية الحديثة المشترات قبل 5 سنوات , وعدم مقدرة كوادرنا على صيانة العطل وعدم وجود جهاز خادم احتياطي ,
وعند مراجعة مركز الصيانة الرئيسي الواقع في محافظة أخرى تبعد 100 كم اخبرونا بعد عدم وجود قطع غيار للمنتج المذكور لأنه يعتبر قديم من ناحية السوق وهناك الكثير من النماذج صنعت بعده !
والحل يكون بشراء جهاز خادم اخر , علما ان العمل كان متوقف ل 4 اشهر تقريبا بسبب تشخيص الصيانة و عدم وجود سيولة مالية للدائرة لشراء جهاز خادم جديد في حينها ,

وتم الانتظار الى ان تم توفير مبلغ لشراء سيرفر مقارب لمواصفات جهاز السيرفر العاطل و توقف العمل وحصل تأخير كبير .

والحل الاسلم والاسرع والارخص الذي لم نعرف عنه في وقتها هم الخادم السحابي cloud server

فمشاكل وجود مراكز بيانات هي :-

توفير كهرباء مستقرة و مستمرة .
توفير تبريد ممتاز و خصوصا في فصل الصيف .
توفير تخصيص مالي كافي لشراء أجهزة خوادم و راك و مجهز قدرة وأجهزة احتياطية و موزع شبكة و شبكة انترانت وغيرها .
توفير شبكة داخلية للحواسيب .
توفير غرفة مناسبة لمراكز البيانات .
في الكثير من الأيام نقوم بإطفاء الخوادم يدويا مع انتهاء الدوام الرسمي بسبب عدم الحاجة او عدم وجود الطاقة الكهربائية وهذا الشي غير صحيح لأنه يقلل من العمر الافتراضي للخادم.

بينما في الحوسبة السحابية تكون الأمور مرنة جدا

تكون الأمور مرنة جدا بالإمكان انشاء خوادم وبالمواصفات المطلوبة وقت قياسي .
بالإمكان إيقاف تشغيل الخوادم و جدولتها بسهولة شديدة وعبر وقت قصير جدا مما يؤدي الى تقليل في التكلفة فقط تدفع مقابل ما تستخدمه وبالوقت المحدد .
بالإمكان تطوير مواصفات الخوادم (كزيادة او تقليل السعة الخزنية او زيادة المعالج او الذاكرة العشوائية او تغيير أنواعها ) .
في حالة وجود عطل في خادم سحابي بالإمكان تغييره عن طريق انشاء خادم غيره بسهولة وسرعة .
بالإمكان الاستفادة من قواعد البيانات التي توفرها شركات الحوسبة السحابية.
في حالة الخوف على البيانات من الانترنت بالإمكان وضعها في خادم محلي وربطها بال خادم السحابي مع وجود التطبيق على الخادم السحابي .
فقط نحتاج ان نوصل المستخدمين بخدمة انترنت جيدة .
وبالإمكان الاتصال بالخادم من أي مكان مع ضمان تحديد ال IP و عمل مفتاح و كلمة سر للمستخدمين.
وهناك مجالات كثيرة أخرى أيضا كال الذكاء الصناعي و تعلم الالة و انترنت الأشياء والتخزين وغيرها الكثير .

تقوم شركة AWS AMAZON WEB SERVICES وهي شركة رائدة في مجال الحوسبة السحابية بتوفير اشتراك مجاني لمدة سنة واحدة لاستخدام اغلب إمكانيات الحوسبة السحابية

وهناك الكثير من الشهادات التي توفرها الشركة للمستويات الابتدائية والمتقدمة مع الكثير من التدريبات المجانية والكثير من الدعم في اغلب مجالات الحوسبة
