> "The brain is for creating ideas, not for holding them!"
—David Allen

Does anyone else remember the feeling of getting ready for a fresh school year?🏫 Buying new notebooks for each subject, covering them in lamination, and making sure everything was labeled just right? I used to love picking out fun, subject-themed stickers for each book, like a science-related one for my science notebook. It was a ritual, and every subject had its own notebook (we used to call it Class note)📚

But then, there was that one special notebook- the rough note.

This notebook wasn’t for any one subject; it was a free-flowing (vomiting, actually 😁) space where ideas, thoughts, dreams, to-do lists, random reminders, even little games and drawings, found their place. It was a catch-all place, and nothing had to be perfect. It was where creativity could roam freely, and we didn’t have to worry about organizing things or following any rules. It was like a personal space for me.

🌐Fast forward to today- we live in a digital era, surrounded by note-taking and productivity apps like OneNote, Google Keep, Evernote, Notion, and more. While these apps make life easier, something feels different. The human touch, the personal connection we had with our rough notes- somewhere along the way, we lost that. Think about it- when was the last time you actually remembered someone’s contact details without looking them up in your phone? Isn’t it funny how the more reliant we become on technology, the less we hold onto?

🏁 Here comes Notion.

I’ve been using Notion for a year now, and honestly, it feels like a modernized version of our old rough note. Simple, minimalistic, and engaging-Notion just makes note-taking feel personal again but with all the modern perks of a productivity tool. It’s not just about note-taking anymore. It’s task management, project planning, collaboration, and goal setting, all wrapped up in one platform. Same like a rough note, we can do whatever we intend to.

🚀One of the things that makes Notion stand out is its constant evolution. It started as just a simple note-taking app, but now it has databases, boards, views, formulas, calendars, and more. And let’s not forget the AI-powered features- making it not just a place to store ideas, but a dynamic workspace that keeps up with our ever-changing needs.

🧑🏻 Notion Faces is one of their coolest updates.

This new feature lets you create a minimalistic sketchy portrait 👨🏻‍🎤 of yourself, adding a fun, human touch to your workspace. Imagine having a personalized avatar labeled to a tool that makes your tasks and notes feel more like you. It's these little updates that make Notion feel more like a place for your thoughts and ideas, while still keeping the human side of things alive.

🔗 Create your Notion Face here → https://faces.notion.com/

Give it a go, and let me know how your Notion Face turns out! 😄 I’ve added mine.

In the end, as the saying goes-the brain is for creating ideas, not for storing them. And for me, Notion is the perfect place to store those ideas with a little bit of fun and personal touch. It’s more than just an app-it’s a place where my thoughts come to life. It provokes us to take action on our thoughts.

Thank you, Notion, for bringing back the old rough note, but in a cool, digital, and upgraded way! 🚀

⁉ Do you use Notion to stay organized? If you haven’t tried the new Notion Faces feature yet, give it a go and share how it’s helping you personalize your workspace in the comments below! 😊

Welcome to WeekMindset by Naveen: Your Weekly Boost! Every week, we dive into fresh insights to help you power through the week with purpose.

What is DeepSeek AI and How Does It Stack Up Against ChatGPT? 🤔

Ever wonder how AI gets so good at answering questions or even writing stories? It’s not magic — it’s all thanks to clever tricks! Meet DeepSeek AI, a next-gen model designed to be smarter, faster, and more efficient than models like ChatGPT. Just like ChatGPT, DeepSeek can provide intelligent answers, but it takes it a step further with unique methods like Chain of Thought, Reinforcement Learning, and Model Distillation to make learning quicker and more adaptive. Let’s dive into how these tricks make DeepSeek stand out! 🚀

The future of AI isn’t just about big data; it’s about smart learning, one step at a time.⏳

 1. Chain of Thought: Solving Problems One Step at a Time 🧩

Imagine trying to solve a hard puzzle. It’s easier if you break it into smaller pieces, right? That’s what AI does with its Chain of Thought. 🧠

Instead of jumping to the answer, AI thinks through each step carefully. For example, if you ask AI a tricky question, it’ll break down the problem and work through each part before giving you the final answer. This helps it stay organized and avoid mistakes. ✅

How ChatGPT and Others Compare:

ChatGPT also uses Chain of Thought to explain its reasoning, but sometimes it can make big jumps without explaining the steps. AI models like DeepSeek, on the other hand, might be designed to follow each step more carefully. 🤔

 2. Reinforcement Learning: Learning from Rewards and Mistakes 🏆

Think of teaching a dog to fetch. The dog gets a treat when it brings the ball back. Over time, it learns what works and what doesn’t. 🐕

This is Reinforcement Learning in AI. AI tries things, gets rewards when it does something right, and gets penalties when it makes mistakes. Over time, it gets better at doing the task. 🔄

How ChatGPT and Others Compare:

ChatGPT uses reinforcement learning, too, especially when fine-tuning to improve answers. However, it doesn’t "learn" continuously from every conversation; instead, it’s trained using large datasets before being released. Some newer AI models, like DeepSeek, may have more real-time learning abilities during interactions. 🕒

 3. Model Distillation: Making Smarter, Faster AI 💡

Imagine you’re in school and your teacher is super smart. Instead of making you learn everything, your teacher gives you the most important lessons to help you understand the basics faster. 📚

That’s how Model Distillation works. A big, powerful AI model (the teacher) teaches a smaller model (the student) to do the same things but more quickly and efficiently. The small model doesn’t need all the details but can still do most tasks well. 🎓

How ChatGPT and Others Compare:

ChatGPT is a large model that handles complex tasks, but it can be slow and heavy on resources. Smaller models like DeepSeek’s R1 use distillation to create faster, lighter versions that can do the same job at a fraction of the cost. 💨

 Why Does This Matter?

These tricks make AI smarter and faster. Models like ChatGPT have come a long way, but newer AI like DeepSeek is using even smarter methods to get better results. DeepSeek, for example, focuses more on detailed step-by-step reasoning and learning from rewards, making it both cheaper and more accurate in some cases. 📈

In Conclusion:

AI isn’t just a black box. It’s learning all the time, getting better and better with every trick it learns. Whether it’s following steps, learning from rewards, or getting smarter with a little help from big models, AI is becoming more powerful every day. The next time you chat with AI, you’ll know exactly how it’s learning! 😎

Stay curious, and keep exploring how AI is changing the world! 🌍✨
