I love AI I used every single day. so this is not, by any means, an antiAI rant. quiet the opposite its more of understanding and accepting AI in a healthy way

I think we are entering a new era of technology, and I genuinely believe AI will make many things faster, easier, and more efficient.

But lately, I’ve started feeling that companies are trying so hard to adopt AI that they are sometimes forgetting to ask a very basic question:

Does this actually need AI? in stead they'd ask where we could put AI next ?

It feels like every company suddenly needs to be an (AI company)!!!

Open a website and you might see three different AI banners before you even understand what the product actually does.

You look at advertisements and now they all look alike because they all are using AI to create them !

When every product starts adding AI simply because everyone else is doing it, we are no longer necessarily solving problems.

We are creating new ones.

One thing I think companies are underestimating is that "automation is not the same thing as improvement".

If I automate a bad process, I now have a faster bad process.

If I replace a confusing interface with an AI chatbot, I haven't necessarily improved the user experience.

If I remove a human from a workflow without understanding why that human was there in the first place, I might save money today and create a much bigger problem tomorrow.

AI is a tool... A very powerful one.

But a tool doesn't become useful simply because it is powerful.

Nobody looks at a screwdriver and thinks:

“This is an amazing invention. Let's use it to fix everything.”

instead we need to understand what the tool is good at.

We've heard the phrase “AI bubble” a lot.

Maybe there is one. Maybe there isn't.

But I do think something will eventually change.

And I don't think that necessarily means AI will disappear.

Quite the opposite.

I think the (fever) will eventually come down.

We've seen something similar before with the internet .

During the dot-com era, there was enormous excitement around internet companies. Many businesses received huge valuations based on expectations that were far ahead of reality.

Then the bubble burst.

But the internet didn't disappear.

It became infrastructure.

Today, nobody talks about whether their business should “adopt the internet” as though it were an experimental technology.

It's simply part of how business works.

I suspect AI will follow a similar path.

The hype may cool down.

Some companies will fail.

Some AI products will disappear.

Some ridiculous valuations will collapse.

But we're not going back to the world before AI.

And I don't think we should.

What worries me more is what happens to people

The part of this whole movement that concerns me most isn't AI replacing a few repetitive tasks.

That's actually one of the things I'm excited about.

What worries me is the idea that "replacing people is automatically equivalent to becoming more efficient."

There is a difference between replacing a repetitive task and eliminating the human knowledge surrounding that task.

There is a difference between helping a developer write code faster and deciding that you no longer need developers who understand the code.

There is a difference between giving employees better tools and simply removing employees.

And there are consequences that may not show up immediately on a spreadsheet.

What happens to junior developers if companies stop hiring them because AI can generate code?

How do they become senior developers?

Where do they learn?

Who reviews their work?

Who teaches them the things that aren't easily captured in a prompt?

And what happens when an entire organization becomes dependent on systems that its own employees don't fully understand?

These aren't arguments against AI.

They're arguments for using it responsibly.

I don't want to go back to a world without AI.

As a developer, I already see how useful these tools can be.

They can help me explore ideas faster.

They can help me learn.

They can automate tedious work.

They can help analyze information.

They can make certain development tasks dramatically faster.

And I think we're still very early in understanding what they can actually do.

That's exactly why I don't think we need to force AI into everything.

We have something incredibly powerful in our hands.

We should be figuring out where it genuinely helps.

Not where we can attach an “AI-powered” label.

Maybe that's ultimately what bothers me about the current AI race.

We're treating human involvement as inefficiency by default.

But humans are not just units of labor.

We have creativity.

Judgment.

Curiosity.

Context.

Experience.

Taste.

The ability to question the problem itself instead of simply optimizing the solution.

AI can help with many of these things, but I don't think we should assume that the best future is one where humans do less and less simply because machines can do more and more.

Maybe the better future is one where humans can do more because machines handle the parts that slow us down.

Let AI write the boring code.

Let it summarize the 200-page document.

Let it analyze the huge dataset.

Let it handle repetitive tasks.

Then let humans spend more time thinking, creating, experimenting, and solving problems that actually require them.

The hype will pass. AI won't.

I think the current AI excitement will eventually become more realistic.

Some companies will discover that adding AI to their product didn't magically solve anything.

Some will discover that it did.

Some will go too far.

Some will pull back.

And eventually, I hope we stop talking about AI as a feature and start treating it as what it really is:

a tool.

A remarkably powerful tool.

We don't need to be afraid of it.

We don't need to worship it either.

We just need to learn how to use it well.

We have been given a technology that can potentially move us forward much faster.

Let's use it to move forward.

Not by stomping over everyone in front of us, and not by giving up the creativity and humanity that got us here in the first place.
