Job ads on NewLuxJob's board for Poland list required skills for each role, and looking at what employers actually write into those postings, skill by skill, shows a clear pattern across sectors.

 Office, finance and IT roles

Based on 701 accountant/auditor postings, Tax comes up in 63%, Excel in 44%, VAT in 42%, SAP in 10%, Reporting in 8% and Auditing in 6%. Finance postings (302 ads) list Excel most often, at 66%, followed by SAP at 26%, Controlling at 15%, Power BI at 13%, Forecasting at 11% and Budgeting at 10%. In consultant roles (335 postings), SAP tops the list at 50%, ahead of Excel at 21%, Stakeholder Management at 19%, Strategy at 13%, and Project Management and Agile both at 12%.

For data analyst roles (739 postings), SQL leads at 65%, Python at 46%, Excel at 18%, ETL at 15%, Power BI at 12% and Snowflake at 11%. Software developer postings (981 ads) name Java in 38%, SQL in 31%, Python in 29%, JavaScript in 22%, Spring in 21% and React in 19%.

 Skilled trades and technical roles

Construction trades postings (822 ads) mention Construction in 56%, Carpentry in 36%, Masonry in 24%, Painting in 11%, Renovation in 1% and Scaffolding in 0%. Welder/metalwork roles (730 postings) list Welding in 92%, MIG/MAG in 55%, TIG/WIG in 34%, Assembly in 29%, Steel in 6% and MMA/Stick in 2%.

Electrician postings (265 ads) ask for Maintenance in 74%, Wiring in 20%, PLC in 13% and KNX in 1%. Mechanic roles (230 postings) list Repair in 68%, Diagnostics in 59%, Engine in 13%, Hydraulics in 7%, and Mechatronics and Automotive each at 3%. Engineer postings (143 ads) name AutoCAD in 37%, CAD in 19%, SAP in 16%, Project Management in 14%, Quality Assurance in 7% and CATIA in 5%.

 Hospitality, care and cleaning roles

Cook/chef postings (804 ads) list Kitchen in 83%, Hygiene in 36%, HACCP in 25%, Grill in 5%, A la Carte in 3% and Mise en Place in 1%. Waiter/hospitality roles (682 postings) name Service in 89%, Barista in 8%, Hospitality in 7%, POS/Till in 6%, A la Carte in 3% and Cocktails in 2%.

Cleaning postings (138 ads) ask for Cleaning in 93%, Hygiene in 19%, Disinfection in 12%, Waste Management in 6% and HACCP in 1%. Nurse/healthcare roles (391 postings) list Nursing in 72%, Hygiene in 30%, Patient Care in 9%, and Medication and Documentation each at 1%.

 Customer-facing, sales and people roles

Sales postings (255 ads) name B2B in 62%, CRM in 29%, Negotiation in 25%, Salesforce in 16%, B2C in 5% and Account Management in 4%. Customer support roles (317 postings) list Communication in 50%, English in 38%, CRM in 29%, Troubleshooting in 28%, and German and Jira each at 11%.

Marketing postings (539 ads) ask for Social Media in 37%, SEA/Google Ads in 32%, Content in 30%, Google Analytics in 24%, SEO in 19% and Canva in 15%. HR/recruiter roles (311 postings) list Recruiting in 99%, ATS in 8%, Sourcing in 7%, LinkedIn in 7%, and Onboarding and Employer Branding each at 5%. Manager postings (294 ads) name Project Management in 41%, Stakeholder Management in 39%, Agile/Scrum in 27%, Leadership in 27%, Strategy in 27% and KPI in 14%.

What this means if you're applying in Poland

Across these categories, one or two skills dominate each job ad while the rest appear less often. For accountants, Tax and Excel cover the majority of listings. For software developers, Java, SQL and Python lead. For trades, the core skill, Welding, Construction, Cleaning, Kitchen or Service, appears in the large majority of postings, with more specialised skills further down the list. Matching a CV to the specific terms employers use most often, rather than a generic skill list, is what these Poland postings show employers are actually asking for.

If you are job hunting in the Netherlands, listed salary ranges vary a lot depending on the role. Based on job postings on NewLuxJob, this article breaks down the advertised pay for specific roles across the Dutch market, using figures from NewLuxJob's own listings rather than a public statistics agency.

 The overall picture

Across 5,208 job postings on NewLuxJob covering all roles in the Netherlands, the median advertised salary is 40,173 EUR. The middle half of listings falls between 32,400 and 51,000 EUR. That range gives a sense of how wide the market is before breaking it down by role.

 Office and professional roles

Among office-based roles, Manager listings carry the highest median at 51,600 EUR, with the middle half spanning 42,000 to 67,236 EUR, from 609 postings. Consultant roles show a median of 48,219 EUR (middle half 40,788 to 60,000 EUR, from 110 postings), while Accountant Auditor postings list a median of 48,000 EUR (middle half 39,000 to 60,000 EUR, from 266 postings).

Finance roles have a median of 45,966 EUR, with a wide middle half of 37,500 to 65,652 EUR, from 129 postings. Sales postings show a median of 44,745 EUR (middle half 36,375 to 56,188 EUR, from 162 postings), and HR Recruiter roles list a median of 42,000 EUR (middle half 36,446 to 49,500 EUR, from 60 postings). At the lower end of this group, Customer Support roles have a median of 36,000 EUR, with the middle half between 31,800 and 40,800 EUR, from 218 postings.

 Technical and engineering roles

Data Analyst postings show the highest median in this group at 54,000 EUR, though the middle half is wide, from 38,700 to 67,980 EUR, based on 65 postings. Engineer roles have a median of 49,200 EUR, with a middle half of 43,200 to 57,000 EUR, from 546 postings, making it one of the larger role categories in the data. Software Developer listings show a median of 48,000 EUR, with the middle half between 40,350 and 55,500 EUR, from 255 postings.

 Trades, logistics and security roles

Electrician postings list a median of 40,650 EUR, with the middle half between 35,325 and 45,000 EUR, from 92 postings. Security roles share the same median of 40,650 EUR but a much wider middle half, from 31,979 to 51,600 EUR, across 128 postings. Welder Metalwork listings show a median of 39,000 EUR (middle half 34,650 to 42,000 EUR, from 92 postings).

Driver Logistics is one of the largest categories in the data, with 761 postings, a median of 33,000 EUR, and a middle half of 27,997 to 38,400 EUR. Production Operator roles list a median of 31,800 EUR, with the middle half between 26,354 and 36,600 EUR, from 140 postings.

 Hospitality and cleaning roles

Waiter Hospitality postings show a median of 28,510 EUR, with a tighter middle half of 26,670 to 31,792 EUR, from 102 postings. Cleaning roles have the lowest median of any category covered here, 27,359 EUR, with the middle half between 26,124 and 29,517 EUR, from 144 postings.

These figures reflect what is advertised in job postings on NewLuxJob for the roles and postings counts listed above, not every role in the Dutch labor market.

What Employers in Italy Actually Ask For, Skill by Skill

If you are applying for jobs in Italy, it helps to know which skills actually show up in employer job ads, not just which skills are popular in general. Looking at NewLuxJob's own job postings for Italy gives a role-by-role picture of what companies are asking for right now.

Finance and accounting: reporting tops the list

Across 219 Accountant Auditor postings in Italy, Reporting appears in 60% of ads, making it the single most requested skill for this role. Auditing follows at 41%, then Excel at 38% and Tax at 30%. Consolidation shows up in 22% of postings and SAP in 20%. For anyone applying to finance and accounting roles, this suggests reporting and audit experience are worth highlighting before software skills like SAP.

Customer support: communication still wins over tools

Out of 155 Customer Support postings, Communication is requested in 59% of ads, well ahead of any specific software. CRM experience is next at 39%, followed by Troubleshooting at 28% and English at 27%. Live Chat appears in 12% of postings and Ticketing in 7%. The pattern here is that employers list a general skill (communication) above any particular platform, which is different from what shows up in more technical roles.

Data and software roles: Python shows up everywhere

For Data Analyst postings (176 in total), Python leads at 53%, with SQL close behind at 48%. Excel still appears in 36% of ads, Statistics in 35%, Machine Learning in 32% and Power BI in 24%.

Software Developer postings (174 in total) show a different mix at the top: Agile/Scrum is requested in 47% of ads, ahead of Java at 38% and Python at 33%. SQL, Docker and AWS each appear in 22% of postings. Between the two roles, Python is the one skill that appears prominently in both, though at different rates.

 Sales, logistics and engineering ads

In Sales postings (208 total), CRM is the most requested skill at 44%, followed by Pipeline at 32% and B2B at 31%. Negotiation appears in 27% of ads, Salesforce in 13% and Account Management in 12%.

Driver Logistics postings (77 total) are dominated by one skill: Logistics itself appears in 84% of ads, far above anything else listed. Warehouse follows at 27%, Delivery and SAP are tied at 19% each, and Driving Licence and Forklift appear in 5% and 4% of postings respectively.

Engineer postings (188 total) most often ask for Project Management, in 33% of ads, followed by MATLAB at 19%, CAD at 17%, Lean at 15%, AutoCAD at 13% and SAP at 10%.

Management: leadership and strategy tie closely

Across 582 Manager postings, the largest sample in this data, Leadership and Stakeholder Management are tied at the top, each appearing in 44% of ads. Strategy is close behind at 43%. Project Management shows up in 28% of postings, Budgeting in 26% and KPI in 16%. The closeness between Leadership, Stakeholder Management and Strategy suggests employers writing management job ads in Italy tend to ask for a similar cluster of skills rather than one standout requirement.

Taken together, these figures cover eight roles and give a sense of what Italian employers are prioritizing in their own words, role by role, based on the job ads currently on NewLuxJob.

What Employers in the Netherlands Actually Ask For, Skill by Skill

Job ads often list a long wall of skills without telling you which ones actually matter most. NewLuxJob looked at its own live job postings for the Netherlands, role by role, to see how often specific skills show up. Here is what the postings show, sector by sector.

Skills for Data, Finance and Office Roles

Among Data Analyst postings (from 170 listings), Python appears in 44%, SQL in 38%, Excel in 32% and Power BI in 29%. For Software Developer roles (from 380 listings), Agile/Scrum appears in 34%, Python and CI/CD each in 23%, Java in 22%, Azure in 21% and .NET in 18%.

On the finance side, Accountant/Auditor postings (from 380 listings) list Auditing in 47%, Tax in 31%, Excel in 29% and Reporting in 26%. Finance postings (from 273 listings) list Budgeting in 48%, Excel in 37% and Forecasting in 29%. Across all four of these roles, Excel keeps reappearing, but each role pairs it with a different specialist skill: Python and SQL for analysts, Auditing and Tax for accountants, Budgeting and Forecasting for finance staff.

Skills for Trades and Engineering Roles

Electrician postings (from 153 listings) are dominated by one requirement: Installation appears in 95% of them, with PLC showing up in 13%. Welder/Metalwork postings (from 256 listings) list Welding in 81%, MIG/MAG in 53% and TIG/WIG in 41%, so employers frequently name a specific welding method rather than just "welding" in general.

Engineer postings (from 393 listings) are more spread out: CAD appears in 30%, PLC in 28% and SolidWorks in 17%. Unlike the electrician and welder listings, no single skill dominates, which suggests engineering job ads in the Netherlands describe a wider mix of day-to-day tasks.

Skills for Customer-Facing and Hospitality Roles

Customer Support postings (from 512 listings) list Communication in 78%, CRM in 18% and English in 15%. Waiter/Hospitality postings (from 299 listings) list Hospitality in 92% and Service in 29%. Marketing postings (from 211 listings) list Content in 78%, Social Media in 51% and SEO in 15%.

These three roles all lean on one broad, high-frequency skill first (Communication, Hospitality, Content), then a smaller set of specific tools or channels behind it.

Skills for Management and People Roles

Manager postings (from 641 listings) list Stakeholder Management in 44%, Strategy in 43% and Budgeting in 36%. Consultant postings (from 284 listings) list Strategy in 58% and Stakeholder Management in 51%, so these two skills appear near the top for both roles. HR Recruiter postings (from 171 listings) are led by Recruiting itself, at 99%, with LinkedIn appearing in 17%.

What This Means for Your Application

If you are applying for one of these roles in the Netherlands, these figures point to the skills that show up most often in the postings themselves. That does not mean every employer wants the same thing: an Engineer posting is far less concentrated around one skill than an Electrician or Production Operator posting is, so it is worth reading each listing closely rather than assuming your CV covers what is needed. Matching the specific tools named in a posting, such as SolidWorks for engineering roles or Salesforce for customer support and sales roles, can be as useful as matching the broader skill category.

What Luxembourg Employers Actually Ask For: Skills by Role, Straight From the Job Postings

Job ads talk in generalities: "strong communication skills," "team player," "fast-paced environment." What they list under required skills is more useful. Below is a breakdown of the skills that appear most often across roles posted on NewLuxJob in Luxembourg, role by role, with the share of postings mentioning each one.

 Finance, audit and accounting

Out of 184 accountant and auditor postings, Auditing appears in 68%, Tax in 60% and Reporting in 55%. IFRS shows up in 38% of postings, Consolidation in 28% and Excel in 27%.

In general finance postings (79 total), Excel leads at 53%, followed by Budgeting at 34% and SAP at 25%. Financial Modeling appears in 23% of postings, Power BI in 22% and Controlling in 19%. Between the two role types, Excel and SAP recur as the shared baseline, while IFRS and Consolidation are specific to audit-track roles.

 Legal and compliance

Legal postings (118 total) put Regulatory knowledge at the top, named in 80% of listings, ahead of Contract Law at 55% and Drafting at 53%. Compliance is listed in 37% of postings, Negotiation in 23% and Litigation in 19%. The gap between Regulatory at 80% and the next most common skill suggests employers treat regulatory knowledge as close to a baseline requirement for legal roles in Luxembourg, rather than a differentiator.

 Data and software skills

Searching for a job across European borders comes with unique friction: mixed-language descriptions, fragmented regional job boards, and complex salary structures.

To tackle this, we built NewLuxJob—an AI-powered job search aggregator indexing over 1.3 million active vacancies across 14 European countries.

 Key Engineering & Product Challenges

Building a multi-country aggregator required solving three specific regional hurdles:

Multilingual Context Parsing: Job listings in Europe frequently mix English, French, and German. Traditional exact-keyword matching fails when a candidate's CV is in one language and the spec is in another. Using semantic embeddings allows us to evaluate core competencies regardless of the input language.

Automated Match Scoring: Rather than just serving a list of links, the platform automatically ranks and scores open vacancies directly against the candidate's uploaded profile.

Localized Financial Clarity: Cross-border candidates need instant gross-to-net insights. Integrating localized tools like our Luxembourg salary calculator helps talent evaluate real compensation before applying.

 Tech Takeaways

When building SaaS for European markets, generic global approaches miss critical regional nuances. Combining multi-source aggregation with semantic LLM parsing provides immediate clarity for job seekers navigating multi-lingual markets.
