This week I decided to stop watching tutorials and start building real products.
I'm a first year IT student in Salem, India. No design degree. No coding bootcamp. Just AI tools and determination.
Here's what happened in 5 days:
What I built
Nexflow — Dark SaaS landing page template
HTML + Tailwind CSS + Alpine.js. Zero npm. 11 sections.
Demo: https://nexflow-ui.netlify.app
DevFolio Dark — Developer portfolio template
HTML + Tailwind + Typed.js. Zero npm. 9 sections.
Demo: https://devfolio-dark.netlify.app
What happened after launching

Listed on Gumroad, Payhip, Instamojo
Applied to Creative Market → Rejected
Applied to Codester → Rejected
Applied to TemplateMonster → Suspended all HTML templates
Reddit blocked my posts (new account)
Hacker News blocked Show HN (new account)
15 views total across all platforms
0 sales

What I learned
Shipping is the easy part. Distribution is the hard part.
Every platform either rejects new sellers or requires existing audience to get traction. The cold start problem is real.
But I'm not stopping. Template 3 is already in progress.
If you're a student thinking about building your first product — just start. The rejections teach you more than any course.
Would love honest feedback on the templates from this community.

Most developer portfolios look the same. Generic blue theme, Bootstrap layout, tutorial project listed three times.
I built my first SaaS landing page template — here's what I learned

I spent time building a real project instead of just following tutorials.

The result is Nexflow — a dark-themed SaaS landing page template built with HTML, Tailwind CSS, and Alpine.js.

Live demo: https://nexflow-ui.netlify.app

 What's inside

11 fully designed sections

Pricing toggle (monthly/annual)

FAQ accordion

Animated logo ticker

Fully responsive on all devices

 Tech stack

HTML5

Tailwind CSS via CDN

Alpine.js via CDN

No npm. No webpack. No configuration needed. Just open index.html in browser and edit.

 Why I built this

I wanted to build something real instead of just following tutorials. This is my first proper project and I learned a lot about component structure, responsive design, and keeping code clean without a build system.

 Get it here

Available for $15 on Gumroad:
https://jaisurya2.gumroad.com/l/nexflow-dark-saas-landing-page-template

Feedback welcome — still learning and improving!
