Hi everyone 🌍🌎🌏,

I build a simple iOS app that can help you to track your performance on personally defined parameters. The app designed to help you to find a balance in things that matters to you in everyday life.

Here is the workflow:

Set up parameters for tracking. For example, think about what you want to improve in your life. It can be relations, productivity, calmness, etc. Or it can even be your engagement in projects, studying. You can add up to 10 parameters.

Once a day, give each parameter a mark.

Track your performance over time. You will see daily scores in the selected week or month. Other options are to track the average score of a parameter in the selected quarter or year.

You are welcome to download and try an app here:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/day-marks/id1489576111

Stories on HN🚀 – Master complex materials through short daily stories.

Hi everyone! We’re Nikita, Denis and Oleg from Prague, CZ. We are makers of Stories #https://story-board.pro. A learning tool with courses in a short story format. Powered by technology for creating a unique and adaptable learning path for every single course. Thus making it much easier for you to finalize purchased lessons.

We’ve started this project because no one of us never ever finished an online-course in Udemy or Lynda. Even when it was necessary to gain a missing knowledge for getting a job position. Overtime in MIT article, I found that only 10% of participants finalize courses and further when we’ve started to talk to instructors and gained access to statistics of top sellers we discovered that actual number is about 3%. Therefore, we’ve decided to develop our solution that will increase at least by 5x the number of students who are finalizing purchased courses.

Three months ago after graduating from YC SS we released the first version of the app and promoted it on Product Hunt. As a result #4 product of the day without any other promotion. And today after numerous interviews and few weeks of development we are happy to announce that Stories v2 is available in the App Store.

How it works:
The CORE of the system is designed to support a network type of hierarchy. This allows for altering the learning path depending on your activity. For example, if you don’t achieve the necessary score in the test inside course you can be rolled back, if you get a mid-level score you will go further to a branch 1 and if you get a maximum score you will jump to a branch 2. There are no limitations for navigation inside the platform.

Mobile learning app. Designed to make sure you stay motivated until the end.

The content types in the course always changing, avoiding long boring videos. Simplifying the understanding of the primary idea. Plus you can bookmark any story and later refresh knowledge from the course in minutes.

No need for googling materials that remains uncertain. The app can catapult you to lessons from another course if the system diagnosis lack of crucial knowledge for further learning and after it will return you back.

Collection of courses inside one course. Lessons will appear parallelly. However the number of daily lessons are limited, we don’t want to force you to study.

Constant course improvements. We provide instructors with extensive statistics about course and lessons. Thus, if an instructor observed that some parts are low performing she can update any lesson, save changes and the app will be updated instantly. Because it has no hardcoded elements, even buttons with various actions, are dynamically generated.

For now, we've chosen Network Theory and Complexity Sciences as introductory courses. Simply cause I currently work in a company that applies Complexity and Psychology for optimizing interconnections inside companies. It’s nice to know the fundamentals of the approach.

We would like hearing from you what skills would you like to gain with our tool. We have more than 500 instructors in a wait least and with your help, we can select who will be among the first providers. Note: You can find a request form at the bottom of the “explore” tab in the app.

Direct link:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stories-study-easily/id1437541419
Or search for: “Stories: study easily”

Thank you. Shorter version😆 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19274739
