Why It's high time for developers to understand the importance of Web Accessibility?

Hello Devs,

As a developer why it's a high time for us to think to create a more inclusive web so everyone can able to access what we're creating and think Why it's our social responsibility?

Recent data shows that there are over 61 million **adults with disabilities in the US and over **14.1 million disabled people in the UK, and this number is increasing. The spending power of UK families with at least one disabled person is estimated at £274 billion per year. Additionally, 71% of disabled people abandon websites that present access barriers. Almost everyone experiences temporary or situational impairments (e.g., noise, poor lighting, distractions), and these people benefit from web accessibility. It's clear that accessibility is not only a legal requirement but also an ethical and social responsibility.

Secondly, by making your website accessible to everyone, you're ensuring that people with disabilities can access your website's information and services on an equal basis with others. This promotes inclusivity and diversity, making the web a more accessible and fair space for all.

Thirdly, there are significant business benefits to having an accessible website. An accessible website can increase your audience and customer base, especially as people with disabilities represent a large and growing market segment. Additionally, accessible websites can improve your search engine rankings and user experience, leading to increased traffic and sales.

Fourthly, making your website accessible can future-proof it against new technologies and devices. By making your website and applications compliant to WCGA standards you're increasing your website/ applications longevity and relevance.

So, as a developer, it's imperative to prioritize web accessibility in your code to create a more inclusive and accessible digital world for everyone. You can visit webforeveyone to get more details.

Thanks

Bridging the Gap: Developer Friendly Approach to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1

Hello friends,

Welcome to Webforeveryone, the YouTube channel that's all about making web accessibility easy and accessible for developers like you!

Problem -
Let's understand first why developers are not giving much importance and may not be implementing WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
There can be several reasons:

Lack of awareness: Developers may not be aware of the importance of web accessibility or the WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

Complexity: The guidelines may be perceived as too complex, making it difficult for developers to understand how to implement them.

Time constraints: Developers may not have enough time to dedicate to implementing web accessibility guidelines, especially if they are working on a tight schedule.

Limited resources: Smaller organizations or individual developers may not have access to the necessary resources, such as specialized tools or testing platforms, to implement the guidelines effectively.

Limited training: Many developers may not have received formal training on web accessibility, and therefore may not feel confident in their ability to implement the guidelines.

At webforeveyone, we understand that as a developer, it can be challenging to find comprehensive content covering all WCAG 2.1 criteria with example code. While there are plenty of videos available online, they often fail to provide the necessary context and depth required to guide developers in implementing WCAG 2.1 guidelines. That’s why we’ve created this channel — to offer you a one-stop solution to easily implement Web accessibility WCAG 2.1 success criteria within your code.

We’ve covered all 78 WCAG 2.1 success criteria, so there’s no need to search or go to any other places to learn how to implement them. We have explained each criterion in detail with relevant examples and code, making it simpler for you to understand and apply accessibility guidelines. Developers don’t have to struggle and search extensively on websites and other channels to implement these criteria anymore.

We’ve put in a month’s worth of effort into creating high-quality content and have utilized various online AI tools to ensure that our content is informative, concise, and engaging. We’re committed to providing developers with the best possible resources to make their websites accessible to everyone.

So, if you’re a developer looking to learn more about implementing web accessibility guidelines, subscribe to our channel webforeveryone and join our community .

Together, we can create a more inclusive web for everyone :)

Thanks,

There are already so many free SVG Icon Libraries available on web. I was thinking how quickly and easily one can download SVG icons and use within app so I've created my own for very simple basic usage. I've added option to change color on the fly and download.

SVG ICON Library

I hope you find this useful

Happy Coding:)

Learn for your knowledge not to just label it

There are people who are good into presentation skills but, not so much knowledge about subject matter and details and there are few who are excellent into knowledge, discussions and clearing doubts but, poor at presentation skills, there are very few who are having half knowledge and who doesn't agree easily on anything and there are few jack of all master of none.

Half knowledge is always dangerous and It's not possible to have skills without proper knowledge and hence, having knowledge to use skills is important than having just skills without any knowledge.

Now, there are lot of certifications platforms available via which one can learn and show their achievements on the go. Of course it will help you your career progression but, my question is - Are we learning it just to showcase as my skill and my achievement or are we learning it go in depth and to gain more knowledge?

What do you think?

There is no doubt companies are putting everything and constantly upgrading but, finally It's up to developer who decides which is best suitable for their application.

It's just for fun! Let's say if they're film actors and meet at some big film premiere party 🍻 🍾

Angy - Hello Re, wassup!!!

Re - Hey Angy, Long time how are you doing buddy!

Re - All good men.

Angy - Dude, You know what, I want to buy you a drink.

Re - No, You're the man. Drinks on me.

Angy - You sure?

Re - Yeah dude. Let's chill. Howz life men.. You alright?

Angy- Yep, Recently bought new big Villa on 12th street shifted there. Let's chill sometime at my place.

Re - cool, Interesting. I've also recently moved to 17th street nice cool apartment very dynamic functional cool design. Decided to move to modern but, I'm keeping old classy traditional too at 15th street.

Angy - Nice! You know let's order something.

Re - Sure, What you will prefer. I know Mc Thnuder NgRx 1!!!

Angy - You got it! men... but, I don't know yours Is it MxContext, Redux Pt. which one I forgot.

Angy - Howz things are going for you in industry? What do you think your fans are liking it your style your recent work? From media I hear that people are going crazy.

Re - It's alright I can say. Last few years you've also done some very good projects. You've very huge fan following.

Angy - yeah yeah...but, sometimes it is very difficult to hold and make it up mark. nowadays you're killing it. You're very close to your fans. We both are flexible but, my director demand mostly in Big leading roles.

Re - Thanks Angy! Yeah it's always up to our directors and fans what kind of role they want us to play. I Can say just go with the flow. I've observed many times you do big interesting stories where I do more of content driven very different stories. You know what..like in this party my wife always asks me to wear casuals as I looks good on me so usually i prefer casuals and I believe your wife must be likes you in formals. You know this new guy Vu is also in market and people also going crazy behind him.

Angy - Yeah men, we both know.. I've started hitting gym and taking this IVY pills helping me a lot.. feeling better nowdays. we both are trying hard from performance side but, its up to fan to decide

Re - Yeah mate, finally It's up to fan to decide. I also have this contract with multiple third party agencies which helps me in my makeup touchup and improving my acting and skills.

Andy - Cool, that looks interesting. I need to talk to manager about it.

Re - It was nice seeing you Andy. Let's hangout some other day.

Andy - Yepp men.. definitely.. bring that dude (vu) as well.

Understand dContext 😄
Something to learn from Squid Game

This South Korean survival drama television series making headlines.

It's a personal choice. I don't encourage anyone to go and watch. This post I'm just sharing my personal experience and perspectives.

There are many things I've noted from design side which separates it from other series.

 Uniqueness

Mysterious dystopian thriller with uniqueness in every character and every game

 Limited colors

Very limited colors used throughout series

 In depth research

In depth research done for each character

 Characters

Compelling characters includes all age groups

 Shapes/ Layouts

Different shapes everywhere, each game has different layout and design

 Simple

Simple Old traditional games

 Background

Unique background with depth

 Content

Very simple easily understandable predictable content

 Brand

Focus on branding apart from normal story telling techniques

Personally I like this dialogue :)

"Life is like a game, there are many players. If you don't play with them, they'll play with you."

A good design can inspire - Design is everywhere and if you do good research than you can inspire and make a difference.

Thanks for reading!

Different but familiar and interactive todo list using React's Context API

One crazy idea popped in my head - so I've created very basic interactive UI using React's context API and local storage.

I was exploring different ways of putting and settled on this. I've categorized few daily regular routines.

Few things needs an upgrade. There are thousands of todo apps so thought to make it in a little creative in a different way.

You can check it on here

Leave a star if you find creative 🙂
