My Journey Into Technology: From Learning HTML to Building My Future

Introduction

My name is NKNEXUL, and this is the beginning of my journey into the world of technology.

I have always been amazed by how technology works and how ideas can be turned into real creations. My dream is not just to use technology, but to become someone who creates it — building software, games, AI's, robots, and inventions.

I am a young developer from Ghana who is currently exploring different areas of technology, including web development, game development, robotics, and computer science.

How My Coding Journey Started

My first introduction into programming was learning HTML, the language used t create the structure of html.

At the beginning, coding looked confusing and hard to understand, but as I continued learning, I discovered that every website is built from simple ideas combined together. I started understanding how headings, paragraphs, images, links, and other elements work together to create a webpage.

Using learning platforms like Sololearn and practicing on my own, I completed my HTML course and earned a certificate. This achievement motivated me to continue learning more programming languages.

Learning Technology With Limited Resources

One thing that has shaped my journey is learning with the resources I have available.

I started coding using my phone and tablet, using andriod code editors and building small projects. Even without a powerful computer, Though sometimes my tablet freezes for a brief moment and sometimes lags I still continued to learn and practice more.

My goal is to keep improving until I can work with professional tools and build bigger projects.

Exploring Different Fields Of Technology

My interest in technology goes beyond just websites.

I want to explore:

Web development

Game development

Artificial intelligence
-Robotics and Software

I have also been involved in robotics projects, including working with Arduino and helping to build smart devices such as a smart dustbin and a smart hand washing machine.

These experiences showed me that technology is not just about writing code; it is about creating solutions.

My Vision For The Future

My biggest dream is to become a technology entrepreneur and inventor.

I want to build my own innovation lab where I can experiment with ideas, create prototypes, and develop new technologies. I am inspired by innovators who combine creativity, engineering, and business to change the world.

I know that this journey would be a difficult journey since I am going into various tech areas,But through discipline and determination I will achieve my goals and make my dream a reality.

What I Am Learning Now

Currently, I am continuing to improve my programming skills and exploring:

HTML and web development

I also want to share my journey online through blogs, videos, and projects so that others can learn and be inspired.

This is only the beginning of my journey.

Every great developer, engineer, and inventor started by learning the basics. My HTML journey is the first step toward bigger goals.

I believe that with continuous learning and hard work, I can build amazing things in the future.

Welcome to my NKNEXUL Tech Journey.

This is a submission for DEV's Summer Bug Smash: Smash Stories powered by Sentry.

Science, Technology & Engineering

Hey everyone! I'm back for day 2 of my tech journey, learning how to code completely on my tablet and phone.

Today was super productive. I used SoloLearn and Mimo on my Samsung phone to study some essential HTML tags, and then I jumped into Acode on my tablet to actually build something with them.

  What I Learned Today

I moved past basic text and learned how to add structure and media to a webpage:

Links (

): How to connect my page to other websites.

Images (

): How to embed pictures using the source attribute.

Lists (

and

): How to make bulleted and numbered lists.

My #BugSmash Story: The Broken Image

When I tried to create a link to one of my webpages, it completely broke! All I saw on my preview screen was a black text instead of a blue underlined text(to show that it is a link).

Here is the broken code I wrote:

<a href"[https://dev.to](https://dev.to)">Visit the Dev Community

The Bug: I accidentally made a typo and forgot to add the equal to sign to the href attribute.

The Smash: Because I'm on a tablet, it can sometimes be tricky to spot tiny typos, but I closely inspected the tag, noticed the flipped letters, and added the equal to sign to 'href'. Boom! The link worked perfectly.

  The Final Code

Here is the clean, bug-free code I ended up with:

html

My Skills and Favorites

Welcome to My Day 2 Page

Check out my favorite coding apps:

Acode (for typing code)

SoloLearn (for daily lessons)

Mimo (for quick practice)

Here is a cool image I successfully loaded:

Visit the Dev Community

Hi everyone! I'm a 16-year-old tech enthusiast, and I am officially starting my journey to master web development and game development. Eventually, I want to explore other areas of software engineering too, but today is all about the foundations.

What makes my journey a bit unique is my setup: I don't have a traditional laptop right now, so I am learning to code completely on my phone and code on my tablet using an app called Acode.

Why I'm Joining the Summer Bug Smash

I am joining this challenge right from Day 1 of my coding journey. Even though I don't know much yet, I want to document the mistakes I make, the bugs I encounter, and how I fix them on a mobile device.

  My First Milestone: HTML

Today, I learned the basics of HTML structure. Here is the exact code I wrote for my homepage (
index.html
) inside Acode:

html

My First Blog Post

Day 1: Web Dev on a Tablet

I officially started learning web development today!

What I Learnt
<Some of the things I learnt today were:

HTML code controls the structure of a webpage

HTML tags are used to add elements to a webpage

Elements like button and paragraph require container tags while elements like images and line break only require empty tags
Container tags consist of both opening and closing tags.

Some HTML tags known as Semantic tags

What I Built

I started with my first project which is my portfolio website

Looking Ahead

Next I want to learn more on HTML and dive deeper to get a better understanding of HTML and later learn CSS and JavaScript to style and make my webpage more interactive

Hi everyone! I'm a tech enthusiast currently mastering web development and game development. I am building my foundation from scratch, learning on my phone with Sololearn and Mimo while writing my code completely on a tablet using an app called Acode.

  Why I'm Doing This

I want to learn how to turn big ideas into reality, one line of code at a time. I'm starting with the absolute basics of the web: HTML.

  My First HTML Project

Today, I built a multi-page setup right on my tablet. Here is the structure of my homepage (
index.html
):

My First Blog Post

Day 1: Starting My Journey To Become A Web Developer

```
                        What's Next?
My next immediate goal is to learn more about HTML and to learn CSS so I can start styling these pages and making them look awesome. After that, I'll be diving into JavaScript and starting my first simple game development projects.
I'm excited to document my progress here as I grow from a beginner into a software developer. If you have any tips for learning on a mobile device, let me know in the comments!
