I am working with companies that are in need of software developers and the market is so tight at the moment, yet we do see candidates change from one company to another, but also great loyalty (which of course is great).

I have the privilege of in-depth dialogues with start-ups and early growth companies and we discuss what is important for them to offer software developers in order to attract new candidates but also to keep them loyal over time.

What are the five most important things an employer can offer a software developer in order to attract and keep the employee?

I would really appreciate a feedback from this great forum.
