Remember when the invigilator shouted "pens down!"? I turned that into a quiz app.

That exact moment — pens hitting the desk at once, everyone caught mid-thought — is the whole idea behind PenDown, a live quiz app I just built and shipped.

How it works

Someone hosts a quiz (or just launches the built-in demo — takes 5 seconds)
Everyone else joins from their phone with a 6-character code — no signup, no app to install
Questions come in live with a countdown
When time's up, every screen gets stamped: PEN DOWN!
Live leaderboard after every question, final results at the end

It's built for the exact moment you'd actually use it — a college quiz night, a team icebreaker, a family group chat challenge, killing time with friends.

Why I'm posting this here

I want strangers to break it before real users do. Friends are too nice when they test things. So:

Grab a friend, coworker, or literally anyone in a group chat and play a round together (it's way more fun with 2+ people)
Try the demo quiz if you just want to poke around solo
Tell me what felt off, slow, confusing, or just didn't land
