Hacktoberfest 2023 is a bit different this year. "NO TSHIRTS" and "NO TREES" instead digital rewards are given but it doesn't mean to lose interest since it is a yearly affair and helping the community is the greatest reward.

Its been a while I am participating this yearly event in the month of October..not the drinking spree but its Hacktoberfest :). Its time for my Github Profile to be active. Its my 5th time participating in this event and its great but this time its different I'm focusing on 1 project only not just a contributor but focusing on code quality, and ideas trebol-backend.

First experience in Hacktoberfest

There was a Digital Ocean meeting a long time ago. It was introduced to the event by the speaker.

Background

I'm a Software Engineer who loves open source technology. Java and a little javascript are used in coding. I play video games when I'm not working. I love music and I play instruments like guitar and bass.

Progress

It is quite challenging because the review of my PR's are quite too long to be accepted and some has no labels. I decided to contribute project's that are implemented in Spring Framework after working on snippets for the first week. Most of my contributions are focused on code quality and unit test.

First experience in Hacktoberfest

I discover hacktoberfest in a local meetup of Digital Ocean users group last 2018. I'm curious of the event and I give it a shot. Every year its a routine to join in specially on the month of October.

Background

I'm a Software Engineer who loves opensource technology as well learn new technologies.
