I am ecstatic to join KODECAMP/HNG INTERNSHIP 2021. Over the course of a few months, I have been studying and doing research on UI/UX design but haven’t had the chance to learn in a community with an ample amount of experienced mentors and colleagues like KodeCamp.
KODECAMP is a community of learning that teaches different aspects of tech (Known as Stacks in @Kodecamp) for anyone interested. Absolutely anyone, which is the amazing part.
In this 16 weeks of training, I have some specific goals to achieve:
I hope to learn the fundamentals, principles and elements of UI/UX design and how to efficiently implement them to create clean and usable user interface across all platforms.
With this knowledge, I hope to usability problems and meet accessibily needs of all categories of users.
I hope to gain real world experience, business culture and how to collaborate with a team.
More than anything, I hope to connect with mentors and fellow designers to grow with through my career.
I am eternally grateful to the organizers of @Kode_Camp for giving me and many others a chance to learn, grow and meet.

This is my first test @HNG internship; If you're a developer with an eye out for internships, you must've heard of the HNG internship and the drills they put developers through to make them world class software engineers.
The internship is open to anyone and aims at creating a virtual work environment that fishes out the best candidates from a pool of participants. Operated by the zuri team, the internship is one; developers around the world keep an eye out for.
You must be wondering if I am a participant, well, you guessed right, I am in the 8th cycle of the HNG internship and I'll be stating my goals in this article.

The internship comprises of 5 tracks for every individuals such as:

Front-End.
Back-end.
Mobile.
UI/UX.
Digital Marketing .
DevOps.

What are my goals for these internship?

To Improve on my Coding skill set (Become a better developer)
To Increase my technical skills
To acquire soft skills (Work on Awesome Products)
To Develop good working relationships with team and work ethics
To network (Network with Great Minds)

It's undeniable, working with other awesome developers around the world make one better, you get to learn a lot of things quickly and HNGi (HNG Internship) provides a fast paced environment with the talent for such.
There is an excess supply of super awesome developers, designers and the likes in such an environment and I wouldn't let the opportunity to network pass me by.
Building software is every developers' joy, even better when you're building it with great developers.

In conclusion, I aim to generally get better at what I do, which is building APIs and web apps with MongoDB, Express, React, NodeJS Python and more...

In case you're wondering, the internship is open to beginners but keep in mind it is a fast-paced environment and as such you should be willing to learn at lightening speed. Basic knowledge of git and github is a plus, check out this tutorial to get started with git using the link below:

Basic knowledge of figma is also an added advantage, get up to speed with figma in the link below:
Check out this tutorial to get the basic knowledge of HTML.
I would also recommend getting the most basic know-how (atleast for a start) on a backend language like NodeJS.
