As projects get huge and you need to protect directories and keys from the repo, you go to work and realize you can't without all these ignored files you need. It can get overwhelming, how is everyone else typically keeping ignored files in sync with computers and fellow developers?

We have about 100 projects and need to switch from office to home computer without feeling like anything is left behind on another computer. What is your best way to keep all dev files and assets for many projects in sync across 2-3 computers? I realize git is a potential solution. I just don't know if it's the true solution for the situation, unless it is? We have so many assets and projects being worked on. I can't imagine having to remember to commit on every project and if there's a commit left behind, etc.

What are your thoughts fellow devs!

Is it safe to host 100 droplets in one digital ocean account? I know you can do 2-factor authentication. I’m just wondering about the security because if someone simply breaks into your account or gets the password they can basically delete all your droplets in one session.
