I Usually Build in Silence. I’m Trying Something Different.

Hey DEV 👋

This is my first post here.

Writing this feels a little strange because I’m usually not the kind of person who shares what I’m doing.

I build things. I experiment. I get excited about random ideas, start working on them, break something, fix it, learn something new… and usually tell almost nobody about it.

I’ve always preferred working quietly.

But recently I started thinking — maybe I’m missing something by doing everything alone.

I’m currently in my third year of college, studying computer science and spending a lot of my time building projects, learning new technologies, and experimenting with startup ideas.

So I’ve decided to start sharing that journey.

Not because I’m an expert. I’m definitely not.

I want to put what I’m doing in front of random people on the internet and hear different perspectives.

Someone might tell me:

“You’re overcomplicating this.”

Someone else might say:

“I built something similar. Try this instead.”

I want both.

What will I write about?

Things I’m building. Technical problems I run into. Stuff I’m learning. Startup experiments. Mistakes. And sometimes ideas I’m still trying to figure out.

I also love teaching.

The problem is… I’m not particularly good at explaining things yet. 😅

Sometimes something makes perfect sense in my head, and then I try explaining it and realize:

“Yeah… that explanation was terrible.”

I’m hoping writing here will make me better at that.

Whenever I learn something useful, I’ll try to explain it in a way that helps someone else understand it faster.

Maybe it’ll help a beginner.

Maybe someone more experienced will correct me.

Both are useful.

I’m not promising a “100 Days of Posting” challenge or pretending I have everything figured out.

I just want this account to become a public record of me learning, building, failing, figuring things out, and hopefully becoming a better engineer along the way.

If you’ve been doing this longer than me, I’d love your advice.

And if I write something completely stupid someday…

tell me. 😂

That’s exactly why I’m here.

— Hadole
