Peter Steinberger launched Clawdbot, a open-source personal AI assistant to manage messaging applications. The project launched don GitHub gained massive attention. And, Clawdbot became the talk of the town. That's when Anthropic came and hit the Clawdbot with copyright.

To deal with the issue, Peter Steinberger renamed Clawdbot to MoltBot. But the name itself was not enough. So, once again he renamed Moltbot to OpenClaw.

And, this is how the world acknowledged the existence of OpenClaw.
