Quiz Application for Web Developers

  Project Purpose

The Harold Finch Quiz Machine wants to help Web Developers increase their skill level by providing them with an easy-to-use but meaningful way to test their knowledge. There is no scorecard, ranking system or witty conversations. Just you and the machine!

  Technology Stack

        Ruby on Rails

        Ruby

        jQuery

        PostgreSQL

  Motivation & Vision

I love studying with flashcards. I hate creating flashcards to study with was my motivation for Googling free online quizzes to help me study web development. I found a few and they were helpful for studying and setting this project in motion.

There's no scorecard because...who cares and there just isn't one. A Developer who hasn't coded jQuery in the last three years may score lower on that particular course than the coding camp student who just learned that subject.

  Open Source Greatness

This quiz machine is still at the infancy stage and several features from the phase one = complete status:

A screen for users to suggest questions

An admin screen

More courses

A question pool of 200 questions or more per course

I welcome suggestions and contributions to improve the applications usefulness. What are your thoughts for adding the following features:

Difficulty levels within a course

Code review questions

Allow users to choose the number of questions for their quiz

Would you be interested in coding any of the new features? Source Code
