The traditional NMF method has high sensitivity to data noise. In the paper, we propose a model called Sparse Robust Graph-regularized Non-negative Matrix Factorization based on Correntropy (SGNMFC). The maximized correntropy replaces the traditional minimized Euclidean distance to improve the robustness of the algorithm. Through the kernel function, correntropy can give less weight to outliers and noise in data but give greater weight to meaningful data. Meanwhile, the geometry structure of the high-dimensional data is completely preserved in the low-dimensional manifold through the graph regularization. Feature selection and sample clustering are commonly used methods for analyzing genes. Sparse constraints are applied to the loss function to reduce matrix complexity and analysis difficulty. Comparing the other five similar methods, the effectiveness of the SGNMFC model is proved by selection of differentially expressed genes and sample clustering experiments in three The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) datasets.Aim We aimed to assess the safety and feasibility of using CardioMEMS monitoring in patients before and after left ventricular assist device (LVAD) surgery. Patients &amp;amp; methods Ten patients accepted for elective LVAD surgery were included, received a CardioMEMS at baseline and were categorized based on mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) ≤25 mmHg (n = 4) or mPAP &amp;gt;25 mmHg [n = 6]) before LVAD surgery. Conclusion This pilot study demonstrates that combining CardioMEMS monitoring with LVAD therapy is safe and generates the hypothesis that patients with an mPAP &amp;gt;25 mmHg before LVAD surgery identify a very high-risk group for adverse clinical outcomes.This paper presents a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) study of air-particle flows in the upper tracheobronchial tree. Two respiratory tract models, including a parametrically controlled approximate airway model developed by Kitaoka (KG model) and a CT-based patient specific airway (realistic model) were used. Assuming laminar, quasi-steady, three-dimensional air flow and spherical non-interacting ultrafine particles in sequentially bifurcating rigid bronchial airways, airflow patterns and particle transport/deposition in these two airway models were evaluated and compared. Overall deposition efficiency data was compared with the widely adopted ICRP data published by The International Commission on Radiological Protection. Good deposition efficiency agreements were observed between the present respiratory tract models and the ICRP data, which validated the numerical prediction accuracy of the present computational fluid-particle dynamics (CFPD) model. For the two respiratory models, the comparison showed both difference and similarity between the approximate KG model and the realistic model. Specifically, the realistic model showed more complicated airflow patterns due to the increased surface irregularity. The deposition efficiency data revealed a deposition preference in the first-generation airways compared to the rest regions. For ultrafine particles smaller than 10 nm, Brownian diffusion remains the dominant particle deposition mechanism. However, for ultrafine particles with size ranging from 10 nm to 100 nm, the deposition efficiency decreased dramatically with the 100 nm particles approaching to zero deposition in the present bronchial tree scope. The generation-by-generation deposition data presented in this paper is indispensable to the formulation of new lung inhalation exposure models.Capsicum annuum is also known as chili which is one of the most important vegetable crops grown in the world. To investigate the heterosis among three cross combinations of different parents, the mRNA-miRNA integrated analysis was performed. A total number of 22,659,009 to 36,423,818 clean data were generated from mRNA-seq with 81 libraries, and the unique mapped reads were from 35,495,567 (86.81%) to 46,466,622 (88.95%). The plant-hormone signal transduction pathway (40 genes) was detected with a higher DEG number. The SAUR32L, GID1, PYR1, EIN2. ERF1, PR1, JAR1-like, IAA from this pathway play a key role in plant development. From the miRNA-seq, the number of clean reads was ranging from 12,132,221 to 25,632,680. This study contributes to understanding how heterosis regulates the traits, such as crop production, fruit weight, and fruit length.We describe successful management of three cases of acquired monocular elevation deficiency (MED) with superior transposition of the lateral rectus augmented with a posterior fixation suture with or without simultaneous inferior rectus muscle weakening. In each case, the lateral rectus muscle was transposed superiorly to the superior rectus muscle along the spiral of Tillaux, with maintained distance between the original lateral rectus muscle poles and the limbus.       <description>&lt;p&gt;Laryngotracheitis is a common disease, mainly characterized by dysphonia, cough, and sore throat. The diagnosis is usually based on the clinical ground, and antibiotic therapy is frequently used in clinical practice. However, antibiotics frequently induce intestinal dysbiosis associated with some clinical problems. The current clinical experience was conducted in patients with pharyngotonsillitis and treated with antibiotics. A one-month course of a probiotic mixture (Abincol® containing Lactobacillus plantarum LP01 (1 billion of living cells), Lactobacillus lactis subspecies cremoris LLC02 (800 million living cells), and Lactobacillus delbrueckii LDD01 (200 million living cells), was prescribed in the Group A, and was compared with no add-on treatment, such as the Group B. Patients were evaluated at baseline (T0), at the end of antibiotic treatment (T1), at the end of probiotic course (T2), and at the end of 3-month follow-up (T3). Globally, 833 outpatients with laryngotracheitis were enrolled 425 in Group A and 408 in Group B. All of them were treated with a 7-10-day course of antibiotic therapy. The probiotic mixture reduced the duration of symptoms associated with antibiotic therapy already at the end of the antibiotic cycle. The intergroup comparison showed that probiotic group patients experienced less fever, tiredness, headache, pain, malaise, diarrhea, and nausea (p less then 0.001 for all) than control patients at T1. The probiotic course reduced the possible clinical relapse, and the use of additional medications at T2 and T3. In conclusion, the present clinical experience demonstrated that a probiotic mixture containing Lactobacillus plantarum LP01, Lactobacillus lactis subspecies cremoris LLC02, and Lactobacillus delbrueckii subspecies delbrueckii, was able to rapidly reduce symptoms associated with antibiotic therapy in patients with laryngotracheitis.Rhinosinusitis (RS) affects the nose and the paranasal sinus and is characterized by nasal and systemic symptoms.  The circadian rhythm is the internal clock that controls sleep-wake cycles, metabolism, cognition, and several processes in the body, and its disruption has been associated with aging. The differentiated embryo chondrocyte ( &lt;br&gt;
 ) gene is related to circadian rhythm. To our knowledge, there are no reports of the relationship between dec gene expression and KRG effect. Therefore, we treated &lt;br&gt;
 gene knockout (KO) aging mice with KRG to study anti-aging related effects and possible mechanisms. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We evaluated KRG and expression of &lt;br&gt;
 genes in an ototoxicity model. &lt;br&gt;
 genes expression in livers of aging mice was further analyzed. Then, we assessed the effects of DEC KO on hearing function in mice by ABR. Finally, we performed DNA microarray to identify KRG-related gene expression changes in mouse liver and assessed the results using KEGG analysis. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;KRG decreased the expression of &lt;br&gt;
 genes in ototoxicity model, which may contribute to its anti-aging efficacy. Moreover, KRG suppressed &lt;br&gt;
 genes expression in liver of wild type indicating inhibition of senescence. ABR test indicated that KRG improved auditory function in aging mouse, demonstrating KRG efficacy on aging related diseases. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Finally, in KEGG analysis of 238 genes that were activated and 158 that were inhibited by KRG in DEC KO mice, activated genes were involved in proliferation signaling, mineral absorption, and PPAR signaling whereas the inhibited genes were involved in arachidonic acid metabolism and peroxisomes. Our data indicate that inhibition of senescence-related &lt;br&gt;
 genes may explain the anti-aging efficacy of KRG. &lt;br&gt;

 CA on activated mast cells, activated splenocytes, and a mouse model of AD. Cytokines levels were measured by ELISA and protein activation was analyzed by Western blotting. 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) was used to induce AD-like skin lesions. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The treatment with &lt;br&gt;
 CA suppressed the productions and mRNA expressions of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), TNF-ɑ, IL-6, and IL-1β in HMC-1 cells. &lt;br&gt;
 CA downregulated the expressions of RIP2 and caspase-1, phosphorylated-(p)p38/pJNK/pERK, and pIKKβ/pIkBɑ/NF-κB in HMC-1 cells. &lt;br&gt;
 CA also decreased the productions of TSLP, TNF-ɑ, IL-6, IL-4, and IFN-γ in the supernatant of stimulated splenic cells. Comparing to DNFB-sensitized control group, &lt;br&gt;
 CA-treated group alleviated pathological changes of AD-like lesions. &lt;br&gt;
 CA decreased the proteins and mRNA expressions levels of TSLP, IL-6, and IL-4 in the skin lesions. Caspase-1 activation was also downregulated by &lt;br&gt;
 CA treatment in the AD-like lesions. The serum levels of histamine, IgE, TSLP, TNF-ɑ, IL-6, and IL-4 were suppressed following treatment with &lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The content of ginsenosides in NG was found to be higher than those in AG and PG, and the content in SPG was greater than those in SNG and SAG. After transformation, the contents of polar ginsenosides in the raw saponins decreased, and contents of less-polar compounds increased. TNG had the highest levels of ginsenosides, which is consistent with the transformation of ginseng root. The contents of saponins in the stem-leaves were higher than those in the roots. The transformation rate of SNG was higher than those of the other samples, and the loss ratios of total ginsenosides from NG (6%) and SNG (4%) were the lowest among the tested materials. In addition to the conversion temperature, time, and pH, the crude protein content also affects the conversion to rare saponins. The proteins in &lt;br&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Pasture allocation frequency (PAF) can influence pasture availability and grazing behaviour, which subsequently may impact on animal performance. Limited research to-date has investigated grazing management methods to improve the performance of high production dairy cows whilst also achieving high grass utilisation rates. This study evaluated the effect of three different PAF's (12, 24 and 36 h) on pasture utilisation, the performance of high yielding dairy cows and the interaction with parity. The experiment included two 60-day periods, 90 spring calving dairy cows (27 primiparous animals) in period one and 87 (24 primiparous animals) in period two. The average pre-grazing sward height (11.4 cm) was similar for all treatments in both periods. In period one, pasture utilisation rate was significantly higher (8%) in the 36 h compared to the 12 h treatment. In period two, milk energy output was significantly greater for primiparous animals in the 36 h treatment relative to the other treatments.Euphorbia cuneata (EC; Euphorbiaceae), which widely grows in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, is used traditionally to treat pain and inflammation. This study aimed to evaluate the protective anti-inflammatory effect of a standardized extract of EC against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in mice and the possible underlying mechanism(s) of this pharmacologic activity. ALI was induced in male Balb/c mice using intraperitoneal injection of LPS. A standardized total methanol extract of EC or dexamethasone was administered 5 days prior to LPS challenge. Bronchoalveolar fluid (BALF) and lung samples were collected for analysis. The results demonstrated the protective anti-inflammatory effect of EC against LPS-induced ALI in mice. Standardized EC contained 2R-naringenin-7-O-β-glucoside (1), kaempferol-7-O-β-glucoside (2), cuneatannin (3), quercetin (4), and 2R-naringenin (5) in concentrations of 6.16, 4.80, 51.05, 13.20, and 50.00 mg/g of extract, respectively. EC showed a protective effect against LPS-induced pulmonary damage. EC reduced lung wet/dry weight (W/D) ratio and total protein content in BALF, indicating attenuation of the pulmonary edema. Total and differential cell counts were decreased in EC-treated animals. Histopathological examination confirmed the protective effect of EC, as indicated by an amelioration of LPS-induced lesions in lung tissue. EC also showed a potent anti-oxidative property as it decreased lipid peroxidation and increased the antioxidants in lung tissue. Finally, the anti-inflammatory activity of EC was obvious through its ability to suppress the activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), and hence its reduction of the levels of downstream inflammatory mediators. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to examine associations between objectively measured sedentary time and physical fitness components in healthy adults. Methods Four electronic databases (Web of Science, Scopus, Pubmed and Sport Discus) were searched (up to 20 September 2020) to retrieve studies on healthy adults which used observational, cohort and cross-sectional designs. Studies were included if sedentary time was measured objectively and examined associations with the health- or skill-related attributes of physical fitness (e.g., muscular strength, cardiorespiratory fitness, balance). After applying additional search criteria, 21 papers (11,101 participants) were selected from an initial pool of 5192 identified papers. Results Significant negative associations were found between total sedentary time with cardiorespiratory fitness (r = -0.164, 95%CI -0.240, -0.086, p less then 0.001), muscular strength (r = -0.147, 95%CI -0.266, -0.024, p = 0.020) and balance (r = -0.133, 95%CI -0.255, -0.006, p = 0.040).  Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) assess patients' perspectives on their health status, providing opportunities to improve the quality of care. While PROMs are increasingly used in high-income settings, limited data are available on PROMs use for diabetes and hypertension in low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). This scoping review aimed to determine how PROMs are employed for diabetes and hypertension care in LMICs. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and ClinicalTrials.gov for English-language studies published between August 2009 and August 2019 that measured at least one PROM related to diabetes or hypertension in LMICs. Full texts of included studies were examined to assess study characteristics, target population, outcome focus, PROMs used, and methods for data collection and reporting. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sixty-eight studies met the inclusion criteria and reported on PROMs for people diagnosed with hypertension and/or diabetes and receiving care in health facilities. Thirty-nine (57%) reported on upper-middle-incalth information systems would best establish PROMs as a means to reveal the effectiveness of person-centered diabetes and hypertension care. &lt;br&gt;
PROMs are deployed in LMICs around the world, with greatest reported use in LMICs with an upper-middle-income classification. Diabetes PROMs were more widely deployed in LMICs than hypertension PROMs, suggesting an opportunity to adapt PROMs for hypertension. Future research focusing on standardization and simplification could improve future comparability and adaptability across LMIC contexts. Incorporation into national health information systems would best establish PROMs as a means to reveal the effectiveness of person-centered diabetes and hypertension care.Some human organs are composed of bifurcated structures. A total of 48 samples between Carnegie stage (CS) 15 and CS23 belonging to the Kyoto Collection were used to acquire imaging data with phase-contrast X-ray computed tomography. Bronchial trees of all samples were three-dimensionally reconstructed from the image data. We analyzed the lobar bronchus, segmental bronchus, and subsegmental bronchus. After calculating each bronchus length, we categorized the branching mode of the analyzed bronchi based on whether the parent bronchus was divided after generation of the analyzed bronchi. All lobar bronchi were formed with monopodial branching. Twenty-five bifurcations were analyzed to categorize the branching mode of the segmental and subsegmental bronchi; 22 bifurcations were categorized as monopodial branching, two bifurcations were not categorized as any branching pattern, and the only lingular bronchus that bifurcated from the left superior lobar bronchus was categorized as dipodial branching. The left superior lobar bronchus did not shorten during the period from CS17 or CS18, when the child branch was generated, to CS23. All analyzed bronchi that could be categorized, except for one, were categorized as monopodial branching. The branching modes of the lobar bronchus and segmental bronchus were similar in the mouse lung and human lung; however, the modes of the subsegmental bronchi were different. Furthermore, remodeling, such as shrinkage of the bronchus, was not observed during the analysis period. Our three-dimensional reconstructions allowed precise calculation of the bronchus length, thereby improving the knowledge of branching morphogenesis in the human embryonic lung. &lt;br&gt;

Although call centers can facilitate such communication, no published reports describing their outcomes exist. In advance of the expected COVID-19 outbreak in Israel, the Israel Center for Disease Control established a call center dedicated to queries from healthcare professionals. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The call center operated from February 5, 2020 (week 6) to May 14, 2020 (week 20). Data on calls received, including date and time, caller characteristics, questions and responses were recorded in a database designed for this purpose. The volume, sources and content of queries were analyzed. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In 15 weeks of operation, the call center responded to 6623 calls. The daily number of calls ranged from 1 to 371 (mean 79.8, median 40), peaking on week 12, 2 weeks prior to a peak in new COVID-19 cases. Callers were predominantly physicians (62.4%), nurses (18.7%) and administrators (4.4%).
