I built a small Android app called ComeBackHERE: Find My Spot for a problem I keep running into: remembering exactly where I left something.

It is not a navigation suite. It does one job: save your current GPS location, then show you the direction and distance back to it.

 What it does

Save your current location as a spot

See the direction to the saved point

Check the distance to it

Use GPS to help navigate back

No account required; saved locations stay on the device

 Where I use it

Parked car: saving the spot in a large car park or an unfamiliar city

Hiking: saving the trailhead before heading into a forest

Camping: marking a campsite or a meeting point

Travel: keeping a reference point for a hotel or landmark

 Why another location app?

Most of the time I do not need turn-by-turn directions back to my car. I just need to know which way it is and how far away it is. ComeBackHERE is deliberately minimal: no account, no social features, no cloud dependency for saved spots.

According to the Google Play data safety section, the app declares that no data is shared with third parties and no data is collected. The app is free and contains ads.

 Links

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.companyname.comebackhere

Landing page: https://piotrse.github.io/comebackhere/

If you try it, I would be glad to hear what is missing. I am the developer of the app, so this is a presentation of my own project rather than an independent review.
