This is a submission for the Google AI Studio Multimodal Challenge

 What I Built

EduSpark AI is a student-centric learning assistant designed to transform traditional study materials into engaging, digestible formats. It tackles common student pain points like note overload, doubt resolution, and fatigue by:

Converting notes (image, PDF, PPT, audio) into concise summaries.
Generating analogies to simplify complex concepts.
Offering read-aloud functionality for passive learning.
Creating flashcards and quizzes for active recall.
Providing an AI-powered mentor chatbot for personalized guidance.

 Demo

This is link to EduSpark
https://ai.studio/apps/drive/1lCKoMgo89Ci0mI3UoNHY2W_ViyJGpbbQ

This is the Home dashboard with feature icons

Flashcards generation using the notes

Chatbot interaction window

How I Used Google AI Studio

I used Google AI Studio to power the multimodal intelligence behind EduSpark AI:

Gemini 2.5 Pro enabled seamless processing of images, audio, and PDFs.
Implemented speech-to-text for audio notes and lectures.
Used Gemini’s reasoning to generate analogies and concept maps.
Integrated theme toggling and local storage for persistent user experience.

 Multimodal Features

EduSpark AI thrives on multimodal capabilities:

Image/PDF to Notes: Students upload files, and the app extracts key points and summaries.

Audio to Notes: Record or upload lectures; AI transcribes and analyzes them.

Notes to Flashcards/Quiz: Converts summaries into interactive learning tools.

Read Aloud: Summaries are spoken aloud for auditory learners or tired minds.

AI Mentor Chatbot: Offers contextual help and concept reinforcement.

“If you’re a student or educator, I’d love your feedback—try the app and let me know what you think!"

Fashion Time Traveler

This post is my submission for DEV Education Track: Build Apps with Google AI Studio.

 What I Built

I built an interactive app called Fashion Time Traveler that lets users input any year and instantly see the dressing styles from that era. Using Google AI Studio, I combined Gemini for descriptive fashion insights and the Imagen API to generate visual representations of outfits. The prompt I used was: “Build a web app that allows users to input one or more years and displays the typical dressing styles of those years, including descriptions, images, and cultural influences.

 Demo

https://ai.studio/apps/drive/1oANrl2oQrLZBOBaC3Tyd38JuAZmr3Hns

This is the main screen of my app, Fashion Time Traveler. You just type in any year—like “1975, 1992, 2008”—and hit Generate Styles. The app then shows you what people typically wore in those years, with descriptions and AI-generated images. It’s a fun way to explore how fashion has changed over time, decade by decade.(https://dev-to-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/articles/sk8lcqd9ebjqbskgk9l9.png)
This screen shows the results after entering the years “1975, 1992, 2008” into the app. Each fashion style is brought to life with AI-generated images—bohemian looks from the '70s, grunge vibes from the '90s, and casual streetwear from the 2000s. It’s like stepping into a visual time machine and seeing how fashion evolved across decades.

 My Experience

Honestly, this was such a fun project to work on. I started with a simple idea — what if we could explore fashion history just by typing in a year? And thanks to Google AI Studio, I was able to bring that idea to life way faster than I expected.

The Gemini model handled the fashion descriptions beautifully, and Imagen added that extra spark with visuals that felt surprisingly accurate and stylish. I didn’t have to worry about writing tons of backend code or setting up complex environments — everything just clicked.

One thing I really enjoyed was experimenting with prompts. It taught me how small changes in wording can totally shift the results. And seeing the app live with just one click? That was a moment.

This track made me realize how accessible AI development can be — and now I’m excited to build more apps that mix creativity with tech. Fashion Time Traveler was just the beginning!

Thanks for checking out my submission! This was a fun challenge, and I’m looking forward to building more with Google AI Studio.
