Made api which generates base address from any indian pincode

its frustrating to fill out your address upto pincode and country which can be fetched automatically, on most website they do fetch city, state, etc from pincode, i am just putting them in string like this one "Dadar, Mumbai-400014, Maharashtra, India" like a classic "Base Address", user will now only have to fill in

pincode

room number, building number, their wing and floor

rest is autofilled, in address field or before address field ask user to enter pincode, make address field focuesd and let user choose the base address from mulitple base addresses for their pincode, once selected place cursor in starting position of address field and let user complete their address,

eg: "291/38, 2nd Floor, Gurukrupa Society a-wing, Dadar, Mumbai-400014, Maharashtra, India"

eg:

GET https://pincode-base-address.vercel.app/api/getBaseAddress/400014

response:

{
    "baseAddresses": [
        "Dadar, Mumbai-400014, Maharashtra, India",
        "Dadar Colony, Mumbai-400014, Maharashtra, India",
        "Naigaon (Mumbai), Mumbai-400014, Maharashtra, India"
    ],
    "district": "Mumbai",
    "state": "Maharashtra",

        "Naigaon (Mumbai)"
    ],
    "pincode": "400014",
    "country": "India"
}

I made a simple screen-wide lightbar overlay for Linux

Just made this digital lightbar because i couldnt see my keyboard in dark - a configurable lightbar that sits on any edge of your screen.

What it does:

Creates a colored bar overlay on top, bottom, left, or right edge

Works over all windows (uses tkinter dock mode)

Customizable color (hex or named), size, and distance from edge

Triple-click to close, or use -k flag to kill it

Usage:

./lightbar.sh # White bar at bottom

./lightbar.sh -c "#FF0000" -p top -h 20 # Red bar at top

./lightbar.sh -c blue -p left -w 15 # Blue bar on left

Requirements: Just bash, python3, and tkinter (probably already installed).

GitHub: https://github.com/praxham/lightbar

Nothing fancy, but scratched an itch I had. Feedback welcome!

Ive made upi deep link replacement for individual use

Accepting UPI payments individually or on your indie projects, e-commerce stores, and small websites just got a massive upgrade. 🚀

If you’re a solo developer, you know that generating direct UPI payment deep links is heavily restricted. I built Miv-Pay to solve this. Whether you just want a quick link for personal use via the Web UI, or you need a full custom payment link generator for your small e-commerce checkout, Miv-Pay has you covered without requiring complex merchant verification!

🔗 Try it out here: https://miv-pay.vercel.app/

Here is how it works for both individuals and developers:

👤 For Normal Individuals (No Code Required) You don't need to be a developer to use it! There is a simple Web UI where anyone can generate a secure payment link on the fly. The payer opens the link, taps "Share QR" to their GPay/PhonePe, completes the payment, and enters their UTR. It's a frictionless way for anyone to accept UPI payments.

🛒 Seamless Small E-Commerce Integration Building a store? You can now open Miv-Pay directly from your checkout page. Once the customer pays and enters their UTR (transaction reference), Miv-Pay uses secure window.postMessage to send that UTR back to your active checkout tab automatically so you can create the order in your database instantly.

📲 Automated WhatsApp & Email Notifications You no longer have to wait and wonder if a payment went through. The API now accepts ct (Contact Type: whatsapp/email) and ci (Contact Info). When the customer hits "Confirm Payment", Miv-Pay automatically opens their WhatsApp or Email app with a pre-filled message containing their UTR. They just hit "Send," and you are notified instantly!

🔗 1-Tap Admin Approvals with vurl Want to speed up order fulfillment? Pass your admin URL via the new vurl parameter. The automated WhatsApp/Email message sent by the customer will include a direct link (e.g., https://lnkd.in/dRyBBEuz). You tap the link in your messages, verify the upi transaction in upi app, and approve the order in your own UI with one click.

🛠️ Secure REST APIs Everything is powered by simple endpoints:

POST /api/generate-link – Dynamically create cryptographically signed payment links with custom parameters.
POST /api/verify-link – Prevent link tampering on the fly.
If you are an individual needing a quick payment link or a dev building an indie site and looking to bypass merchant hurdles, give this a spin!

I’d love for the community to test the Web UI and the new gateway like flow. Let me know what you think in the comments! 👇

https://samanarthi-search.vercel.app/

It uses in-browser vector search (pgLite n pgVector plugin) to surface curated links for niche, under-represented, or "unsearchable" topics. When traditional search engines and LLMs fail to find poorly documented information overshadowed by mainstream results, currently it works for searching related laptop size conversion, diy ikea pc cabinet, male rape victim stats india n global, if u have any more unsearchable insights into other topics u can submit it through website

WebTV: A living-room launcher for your HTPC, built as a website.

webTV is a big-screen, couch-friendly launcher inspired by modern streaming-box home screens. It simply renders a website in fullscreen, and that website can run commands on your machine to open apps. Point it at your HTPC or living room PC and use it as the front door to everything: media players, streaming apps, emulators, games, and anything else you can start from a command line.

https://github.com/praxham/WebTV

actually it was very old project i made years ago as beginner but then there was next to no use for it so left it as it is recently i saw the rise of steam machine attempts to make one yourself and a lot of tv ui like launchers, most of them are very barebones and visually not pleasing so i remade my old browser only url opener website into fruit company's tvOS inspired interface which imo is best tv interface ever made its dynamic u can add however many apps u want + also its simple website frontend still you can easily customise since its written in tailwind css
