unreal-assets-to-glb

this is small pip package allowing you to translate editor-time (not game build) unreal engine assets to glb file format models

features:

cli with help command support

level preview (umap) + level export

meshes filtration to export only certain models

textures cache to make future exports faster

base color / albedo texture extraction as well as other texture stuff by saving in png file format

basic support for meshes without animation or bones without automatic 100 to 1 scale factor convestation

in the video i show how the model appears in other game engine after import of translated uasset-files

the main advantage: not requires UE installed at all

source code: https://github.com/Prikalel/unreal-assets-to-glb
pip package: https://pypi.org/project/unreal-assets-to-glb/

generated files can be easily imported in other engines like godot/unity etc

currently supports 2 UE engine versions: 5.5 and 4.27.2

you may also note that some materials in the test scene are partially dark - this is because the package not allows you to properly export all materials settings / all shaders settings (limitations are listed in github page, they are: lights, camera positions and other stuff, but basic 3d mesh extraction works like a charm)

but you obviously can edit materials after export manually in the engine where you imported them adjusting texture sizes/normals/by adding custom shares etc.

GPL-3.0 license

I recently played TRUBA and this game is scary as sh*t

In search of unforgettable emotions, I surfed the Internet - and absolutely accidentally stumbled upon a game design diamond.

I'm not kidding!

I have no idea how you feel about horror games, but I've seen a lot in my short life.

Different horror stories, creepypasts, endless analogs of fears to fandom that seem to tell the same story several times.

BUT THIS!!!

I'm not afraid of this word - what I found is a real hidden gem.

This short horror browser game drove me literally to hysteria.

Due to the fact that it takes literally 10-15 minutes to complete, it quickly attracted me and the time was well spent:

The atmosphere of a mysterious place and the devastated locations simply overwhelm the brain catastrophically, and in my search for objects and solving puzzles, I several times came across hidden references and deeply thought-out level design solutions.

The first-person view adds dynamics, high-quality 3D just immerses you in this world, and you literally can't tear yourself away!

Having a gunshot makes life a little easier, but the fear didn't leave me from the first location to the credits.

Music... this is something divine, at the level of Hanz zimerz - no less.

Yes, there are screamers in the game - and not just screamers, but such that you lay bricks in pants even BEFORE they suddenly appear with a loud sound.

Guys, if you want to share my emotions, then I advise you to check it out ->>

I'm shocked, the game is absolutely amazing. if you haven't played yet, the game is FREE and you can play IT DIRECTLY FROM the BROWSER (you just need a mouse and keyboard) ! ! !

I asked the developer of the game - he lives in Russia and managed to built it with godot 3, tremendous result...
