Honestly, I Still Can’t Believe I’m Going to HexaFalls 2
If you told me last year that I’d be writing this as an official HexaFalls Evangelist, I probably would have laughed.

Last year, things didn’t go my way. I applied for HexaFalls, but I wasn't selected. It sucked, but instead of giving up, it just made me want to get there even more. This year, my team—HUTUM PYCHA—and I locked in. I spent days doing the quests, grinding, and pushing myself to the top of the leaderboard just to secure a spot to go and attend the hackathon.

And guess what? The hustle paid off. Not only are we going to JIS University in Kolkata, but I was also selected as an Evangelist for the community. I am honestly super, super excited.

Wait, Did Someone Say Hogwarts? 🧙‍♂️
Okay, so I did some digging, and the theme for HexaFalls Season 2 is a Wizarding/Hogwarts theme. As a massive fan, this is actually crazy. A tech fest mixed with magic? Walking onto campus is going to feel like stepping into an enchanted world where writing code is basically casting spells.

Instead of just standard boring presentation rooms, the tracks are set up like wizarding combat arenas:

The Flagship Hackathon: 12 hours of non-stop building, coding, and shipping projects.

Robotics & Hardware Arena: Where physical engineering meets digital logic (basically real-world alchemy).

Gaming & CP Duels: Speed-coding and high-stakes leaderboard battles.

The Sponsor Lineup is Absolutely Insane
Another thing that has me losing my mind is the backing this hackathon has. Usually, student fests get a few local sponsors, but HexaFalls 2 went all out.

The event is officially backed by MLH (Major League Hacking) as the title partner, which is huge. Plus, they’ve brought in some of the coolest names in tech right now:

GitHub (the holy grail for developers)

Devfolio (powering the tech ecosystem)

n8n & Mastra (huge for workflow automation and building crazy things)

Corsair & Superplane

Having global tech giants like these involved means the energy, the mentorship, and the prizes are going to be on a completely different level.

For me, HexaFalls 2 is personal. It’s a massive step up from being rejected last year to entering the arena this year with my team HUTUM PYCHA. It just shows that student-led tech communities are the best place to learn, fail, and bounce back stronger.
