Performance Reviews, your opinion

So I'm working on a product to try and take the pains out of performance reviews for developers. For me, it's a document I spend 2 weeks minimum on, and dread doing every year.

What are some of the gripes you have with writing your performance review, is it collecting the data required, is it the general time you spend writing it, or maybe it's due to having other commitments at the same time! I'd love to hear some opinions on it!

I built an app to turn PRs into Performance Reviews

Hey Devs!

I just wanted to share a small app that I created in order to turn your pull requests into performance reviews!

This was something that I struggled a lot with, as a bit of context, I'm a software developer for 10+ years, however always when it comes to around June (mid years) or December (end of year) I knew it was time to write my performance review, whether I wanted to get promoted or not, I still had to put a lot of time and effort into it.

While I was juggling my normal workload, whilst having the reviews at the top of my mind, I realized there must be a way to automate it. I couldn't find anything on the market, therefore I did what all great engineers should, and I built it instead!

RapidReviewer.io is something that I'm very passionate about, and would love to hear what you guys think - at the moment it works for GitHub, it allows you to import your previous PRs (it will take the PR description as the summary) and you can edit and update these. As well as we have a chrome extension that will ensure every time you go to merge on Github, it will prompt you for a summary that will be stored on rapidreviewer's side. Then you can upload your levels and expectations document from your company, and click generate and it will tailor your PR summary's to your companies levels and expectations and give you a tailored performance review!

As a special, I'd love you guys to test it out and give me as much feedback as possible - use code FREETRIAL at the checkout, and this will give you 1 month free to play around and see what you think!
