Building LORE: An AI Native Platform for Story Development | Week 1

This article is part of my Generative AI Capstone at IIT Patna, where I will be building and documenting an AI product from concept to MVP over the next four weeks.

The project is called LORE, an AI Native IP Development Platform designed to help creators transform a single idea into a production ready story universe.

Having spent nearly two decades creating and commissioning content across television, films, digital platforms and audio originals, I have experienced one recurring challenge. The journey from a single story idea to a production ready project is fragmented. Writers and creators constantly switch between documents, prompts and multiple AI tools to develop story bibles, character arcs, timelines, visual references and more.

While today's AI tools are excellent at generating individual outputs, they don't orchestrate the complete creative development lifecycle within a single workspace.

That's the problem I want to solve.

The vision for LORE is to create a platform where creators can start with a single idea and develop it into a complete story universe. Story bibles, character bibles, world building, timelines, episode breakdowns, visual references and production ready creative assets all come together in one intelligent AI powered workspace.

Week 1 Progress

This week I completed:

Product ideation
Problem definition
Product vision
One page concept document
Initial roadmap for the MVP

What's Next

Over the next three weeks, I will be building the MVP, exploring AI workflows, integrating LLMs and designing the product experience. I will continue documenting the process, lessons learned, challenges and product decisions as the project evolves.

Looking forward to learning from the community along the way. If you have built AI products, worked with creative workflows or have thoughts on this problem space, I would love to hear your feedback.
