      <title>ReadySMS vs Twilio in 2026: Why Most Senders Are Overpaying</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;If you're sending business SMS through Twilio in 2026, you're paying for a brand name your CTO recognized in 2015. The carrier delivery is identical. The infrastructure underneath is identical. The only thing that changes when you move to ReadySMS is your bill — by 30-65% — and the work your team has to do, which goes down, not up.&lt;/p&gt;

  What Twilio actually costs you
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Twilio's published rate is &lt;strong&gt;$0.0079/segment&lt;/strong&gt;. The number that lands on your invoice is &lt;strong&gt;$0.0109-$0.0124/segment&lt;/strong&gt; once carrier surcharges are added (~$0.003-$0.0045/msg, pass-through from T-Mobile, AT&amp;amp;T, and Verizon).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At 100,000 messages/month that's a &lt;strong&gt;$1,090-$1,240 line item&lt;/strong&gt;. At 500,000/month it's $5,450-$6,200. At 1M/month, $10,900-$12,400. And those are only the per-message costs — they don't include 10DLC fees ($1.50 markup over TCR pass-through), phone number rentals ($1.15/number/mo), or the engineering hours your team burns building campaign management, opt-out tracking, and inbound webhook handling on top of Twilio's raw API.&lt;/p&gt;

  What ReadySMS costs

&lt;p&gt;ReadySMS bills the same way — per segment, plus the same carrier fee. The difference is the per-segment number.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Even ReadySMS's entry tier (Starter) sits at the same all-in cost as Twilio's enterprise rate. ReadySMS Growth — the tier most agencies and SaaS teams land on — is &lt;strong&gt;4% cheaper&lt;/strong&gt; than Twilio's lowest published rate while including everything below.&lt;/p&gt;

  What you stop paying engineers to build

  Why ReadySMS exists
