      <title>Null and undefined in JavaScript</title>

  Undefined
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Undefined means &lt;code&gt;no-value&lt;/code&gt;. if you have declared a variable but did not initialize/assign it with any value,By default it stays &lt;code&gt;undefined&lt;/code&gt;, If you try to read a non-existing property in an object it gives &lt;code&gt;undefined&lt;/code&gt;. you can also assign a variable as &lt;code&gt;undefined&lt;/code&gt;.&lt;br&gt;

  Null
&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Null is &lt;code&gt;non-existing value&lt;/code&gt; or you can also say &lt;code&gt;no object value&lt;/code&gt;.A variable becomes &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt; only when you assign it as &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt;. so &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt; doesn't come by default.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;as we can see both &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt; and &lt;code&gt;undefined&lt;/code&gt; evaluates to &lt;code&gt;falsy&lt;/code&gt; values.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;But interestingly if we check the type of &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt; it gives object even though &lt;br&gt;
 both &lt;code&gt;null&lt;/code&gt; and &lt;code&gt;undefined&lt;/code&gt; are said to be primitives. This is regarded as &lt;br&gt;
 mistake in javaScript implementation.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;following the above image Brendan Eich the (creator of javascript) designed JavaScript to make typeof return 'object' for all values on the right-hand side. That’s why &lt;code&gt;typeof null&lt;/code&gt; gives &lt;code&gt;object&lt;/code&gt; despite the spec having a separate Null type.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;one more thing is when we compare null and undefined with &lt;code&gt;===&lt;/code&gt; it returns &lt;code&gt;false&lt;/code&gt; but when we compare &lt;code&gt;null == undefined&lt;/code&gt; it returns &lt;code&gt;true&lt;/code&gt; because of type-coercion.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Asynchronous Programming in JavaScript can be confusing for the people learning JavaScript for the first time and sometimes even the experienced struggles, Well at least I did not know what was happening under the hood. As we know JavaScript is single-threaded meaning it can only do one task at a time unlike other programming languages like java,c# which are multi-threaded. so what do we do when we want to fetch something from an API or doing some async database operation in the back-end? that is where our callbacks, promises, or the async-await comes into the picture. we do not want to block our JavaScript main thread but we want to be notified when our asynchronous operation is done so, that is where we use asynchronous programming concepts. lets look at them and how they evolved...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;this is fairly simple all we need to do is pass in a function which we want to execute after the asynchronous operation is done But,the major problem this approach introduces is when we want to do multiple asynchronous calls and we have to do them one after the another... it introduced what is popularly known as &lt;a href="https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/callback_hell"&gt;call-back hell&lt;/a&gt;. looks similar to below code:&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;since every async call depended on the data fetched from the previous call it had to wait for the previous one to complete. This works but it was very hard to debug and maintain. let's look at how promises solve this problem. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Promises are introduced in es6 and solved some of the problems of callbacks. Every promise constructor expects a function which has two parameters &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt; and &lt;code&gt;reject&lt;/code&gt;. &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt; is called if the promise is resolved successfully and reject if the promise is rejected or if any error has occurred.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;a promise is just an object which executes any async operation and calls resolve or reject functions passed to its callback as parameters accordingly. &lt;br&gt;
In the above &lt;code&gt;setTimeout&lt;/code&gt; example we created a new Promise and assigned it to a variable where we passed in a callback with resolve and reject. What is happening inside is:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1.first promise tries executing what is there inside the callback which is &lt;br&gt;
   &lt;code&gt;setTimeout&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2.after 4 seconds when &lt;code&gt;setTimeout&lt;/code&gt; is done it tries to resolve &lt;br&gt;
  as in it calls resolve function&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;3.The &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt; we passed as a call back function parameter will be &lt;br&gt;
   binded to another function inside the &lt;code&gt;Promise&lt;/code&gt; class, let's call it &lt;br&gt;
   &lt;code&gt;onResolved&lt;/code&gt;. so when &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt; is called inside the &lt;code&gt;setTimeout&lt;/code&gt;, It invokes the function &lt;code&gt;onResolved&lt;/code&gt; inside the &lt;code&gt;Promise&lt;/code&gt; class with the value you pass into the &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt;. Here it is &lt;code&gt;Time is out&lt;/code&gt; string.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;4.Inside the &lt;code&gt;onResolved&lt;/code&gt; function it calls the callback you passed to &lt;code&gt;.then()&lt;/code&gt; &lt;br&gt;
  with the value it receives from &lt;code&gt;resolve&lt;/code&gt; and similarly it handles reject as &lt;br&gt;
  well&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;5.This is a simple version of whats going inside the Promise so if you &lt;br&gt;
   are chaining multiple promises then it becomes little more &lt;br&gt;
   complex...&lt;code&gt;Promise&lt;/code&gt; class maintains an array for callbacks which will &lt;br&gt;
   are called one after the other in the order of your &lt;code&gt;.then()&lt;/code&gt; &lt;br&gt;

Since the previous promise had to return a promise for chaining, debugging was also not easy..surely, promises have made it more easy to write async code and avoided callback hell but can we do better? oh yeah! definitely with async and await...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The new &lt;code&gt;async-await&lt;/code&gt; in es8 use the same &lt;code&gt;promises&lt;/code&gt; under the hood but they remove the need of passing the callbacks and having to deal with the chaining of promises. It provided way more abstraction and code looks a lot cleaner now.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;p&gt;we need to use the keyword &lt;code&gt;async&lt;/code&gt; to make a function async and only then you can use the keyword &lt;code&gt;await&lt;/code&gt; inside the function. we can wrap &lt;code&gt;try-catch&lt;/code&gt; around the await code so that when an error is thrown we will be able to catch it.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let's look at the previous example of two async calls where we needed data from the first one to do another async call with async await syntax.&lt;br&gt;
