On August 28, 2026 I sat down and measured 12 faceless YouTube channels with confirmed monetization. Together they pull roughly $220K per month. I expected subscriber count to explain the revenue spread. It did not. It barely correlates at all.

Here is the raw table, sorted by estimated monthly revenue.

Channel

Subs

Est. revenue/mo

Avg length

Avg views

The Silent Verdict

117K

$56K - $81K

46:58

139K

The Japanese Method

67K

$27K - $39K

20:43

34:34

33K

Chill Pov Guy

40K

$7K - $10K

15:26

54K

Rewatch TV

31K

$6K - $9K

40:48

909K

Eli Yoder Construction

37K

$6K - $8K

23:04

40K

Finding 1: the biggest channel on the list earns 5x less than a channel half its size

Lilly Gaddis has 210K subscribers, the largest audience here. Estimated revenue: $11K-$15K a month.

The Silent Verdict has 117K subscribers, roughly half. Estimated revenue: $56K-$81K a month.

Twice the audience, about a fifth of the money. If subscriber count were the driver, this row would be impossible. Two things separate them: average video length (12:60 vs 46:58) and where the audience lives. Long videos carry multiple mid-roll ad slots; a 13-minute video carries far fewer. And an ad impression served to a US or German viewer is worth several times the same impression served elsewhere.

Finding 2: the smallest channel has the highest average views

Rewatch TV sits at the bottom of the revenue list with 31K subscribers, the smallest audience of the twelve. Its average video does 909K views - by far the highest number in the table, and it got there with only 4 published videos.

That combination only makes sense if most of the traffic is not coming from subscribers. It is coming from browse and suggested. Subscribers are a lagging vanity number; the algorithm decides who sees the video, and the ad rate decides what that view is worth.

Finding 3: cadence is an engineering problem, not a motivation problem

Look at the cadence column in the full dataset and the pattern is blunt. The channels that scaled fastest published in bursts a human editor cannot sustain alone: Tried & True shipped 66 videos in 0.2 years. The Japanese Method, 55 videos in 0.3 years. Chill Pov Guy, 96 videos in 0.5 years.

Nobody hand-edits at that rate for months. Either there is a team behind it, or there is a pipeline. This is the part that interested me as a builder: the bottleneck in this business is throughput, and throughput is a systems problem - scripting, TTS, footage assembly, render, upload, all queued and parallel.

 Honest caveats

Revenue figures are estimates derived from views, niche and audience geography. They are not AdSense statements. Treat them as ranges, not accounting.

All figures were measured on a single day, August 28, 2026. Channels move.

Twelve channels is a sample, not a census. I picked monetization-confirmed channels across different niches on purpose, so the country and format effects would show up.

 The full breakdown

The complete write-up - all 12 channels, the per-channel upload cadence, the title patterns they reuse, and the country/RPM math - is here: 12 tier-1 channels, $220K a month, and the RPM gap.

I ran the same teardown across 12 more niches (finance, history, science, gaming, psychology and others). Those are indexed here: falconvid.ai/blog.

Disclosure: I build FalconVid, an automated video pipeline for faceless channels. I gathered this dataset while researching which formats are worth automating, so my bias is on the table. The numbers above are the numbers, whatever you decide to do with them.

What would you measure next? I am tempted to track the same twelve for 90 days and see how much of the revenue spread is stable versus noise.
