In 2020, Evrone designer Natasha Yankelevich decided, as an exercise, to create the concept of a personal website for an individual who inspired her - photographer Elizaveta Porodina.

Natasha published the concept on social networks and tagged Elizaveta. She almost immediately received a message from the photographer praising the site concept. Elizaveta wanted us to fully develop the site and turn it into a representation of herself and her style. We reached an agreement on all the documentary details, discussed the nuances of the fashion photography website project, and got down to work.

Developing a universal fintech product core to enter the European market

Fintech company Revoplus is an installment payment service that customers can use when purchasing goods online. It is being actively developed in Russia under the Mokka brand. Revoplus is already cooperating with large retailers and has received investments from Baring Vostok totaling $25 million.

In 2018, Revoplus management decided to develop and launch the service in Europe as well, starting with Poland. The European market holds more potential for any financial service. Since, in Europe, attitudes towards the credit system are generally softer than in Russia, and payment discipline is more stable.

Using Ruby expertise to facilitate a fast media portal launch

In 2008, we developed a universal, versatile Ruby on Rails engine that helps us quickly launch media portals and build content delivery network solutions. It was used to implement klops.ru, the largest media outlet in Kaliningrad, and later it was used in news and media production for web and on other client projects. One of which was 420on.cz, the largest informational Russian-language portal in the Czech Republic.

The Self-Taught Programmer is a book with a full curriculum to become a self-taught coder in Python, using a non-traditional approach: learn code first and theory second. It is a guide that takes you from writing your first Python program, to passing your first technical interview.

More and more people are becoming self-taught programmers nowadays, and, thinking that this trend will only continue, we decided to discuss with Cory the hardest things for new developers. He told us if it is reasonable for a new developer to learn and practice both frontend and backend development, and what kind of projects new Python developers can expect at the beginning of their careers.
