Hey guys!! Again I am back with my learnings of Week 5. You can see my previous week blogs (Week 1 , Week 2 , Week 3, Week 4) to see the improvement in my journey of starting again from basics.

Last week , I was a little off from my studies and hence could not complete my weekly goals on time. But finally did it!!

This week I learnt about the sync vs async, callbacks, promises, routing from React Documentation and the sessions organised by our mentors.

And using the react concepts I have made two mini projects i.e. an Image Generator and finally completed my portfolio. This portfolio code can be used as a template by anybody, if you need to update any info , it can be just done by replacing/updating the data file.

I know, you might be thinking that how much time I took to complete my portfolio project but by this project , I understood various concepts of react. I have faced many difficulties also but with the help of our mentors and peers, overcomed them.

I am really thankful to Frontbench community for providing me this great opportunity. I learn everyday, became consistent, started learning in public, and many more, this all started after joining this community.

I am following all the basic and necessary steps to become a successful Software Engineer. Please stay tuned with me for further updates in this beautiful journey.

Hey guys!! Again I am back with my learnings of Week 4. You can see my previous week blogs (Week 1 , Week 2 , Week 3) to see the improvement in my journey of starting again from basics.

This week I learnt about the props, functional component, creating multiple component and use to build single application, usage of Import, export and other ES6 features from React Documentation and the sessions organised by our mentors.

And using these react concepts I have made two mini projects i.e. a Stopwatch and updated the code of my portfolio. This portfolio code can be used as a template by anybody, if you need to update any info , it can be just done by replacing/updating data file.

I have faced many difficulties during these projects but solved it by the help of our mentors Sagar Choudhary and Deepak Kumar. I also took help from some of my peers. As I have told earlier, this is the beauty of our community. Everyone is ready to help!!

I have to do some more updates in the stopwatch project as suggested by our mentor Sagar Choudhary . I will be making this project more better and will update the link in my next blog.

I am really happy to learn this much in React. I remember those days when I always used to escape from React, I was so wrong!! Now I feel React is really very interesting and easy to learn. And I am very excited to explore this technology at much more higher level.

You can follow me on Twitter or connect with me on LinkedIn.

Hey guys!! Again I am back with my learnings of Week 3. You can see my previous week blogs (Week 1 , Week 2) to see the improvement in my journey of starting again from basics.

This week we have got our new mentor Sagar Choudhary along with Deepak Kumar. They both have helped me and my other peers to start with the basics of React.

Yes, finally we started with React ,the moment I was waiting for. I have tried to learn React before with online courses but was unable to understand and apply them.

But now, with the help of our mentors I am finally getting the basics of react and I can't explain how happy I am!!

Though I am facing difficulties now also but I am not worried as before as I know I will not be stucked for long as there are many resources and people to help me.

The best part of our camp is that we are learning in a community and thus are trying to help each other to improve ourselves in this field.

This week I learnt about the react basics such as props, components, state, routers etc from FreeCodeCamp and from sessions organised by our mentors.

Now I am able to apply the concepts of react on the projects. This week I have converted my week1 portfolio made using basic HTML,CSS to react app.I know this is very basic step in learning this technology but I am happy with this for now.

And from now onwards I will be making some mini and macro projects using features of React. So, stay tuned with me for further updates!!

You can follow me on Twitter or connect with me on LinkedIn.

Hey! As said, this is my second blog followed by my first blog.

After completing the first week of mentorship by Deepak sir, I entered the second week with high motivation and I think I am going on a right track with right pace.

This week, I studied the concepts of Vanilla JavaScript and unit testing with Jest and thus written few testcases.
And finally made 3 simple projects using Vanilla Javascript...

StopWatch : Source code

Typing Speed : Source code

Calculator : Source code

Faced some problems while writing functions using Vanilla JS and technical errors while deploying but overcomed it with the help of freeCodeCamp and stackOverflow.

Finally got good comments from our mentor "Perfect Riya ! This typing speed app looks cool !". It really matters to me a lot. Thank you sir for always motivating us.

I know these are small steps for developers but are very crucial basic steps which we shouldn't skip to become perfect in this field.

 Excited to explore more!!

You can follow me on Twitter or connect with me on LinkedIn

Hey!! I am a final year undergraduate student and a FullStack developer(MERN stack). Actually this is first blog of my life.
But from now onwards, I will be writing blogs every week!!

Recently, I have been selected for a FullStackCamp mentorship program by Deepak sir. Before this, I had never thought that documenting the learnings can be the best way to track the progress.

Under this program, I have started again from the basics to organize my skills in a better way.

In this week, I have brushed up the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Also learnt about the unit testing in JavaScript.
Project 1: Basic Portfolio using HTML and CSS https://riyaagrawal17.github.io/Portfolio/

 Excited to explore more.
