I got tired of using the bloated blogging platforms out there. They were to rigid, slow (some of them) and didn't have a simple UI.

Therefore I made my blogging platform, QuickPublisher. Its a basic blogging platform, super fast with a minimalist design. You are now able to write those blog posts without distracting your readers with heavy designs and ads.

Many job seekers apply to 80-100 jobs per day or per week. Most job seekers never get feedback or replies as to what went wrong their CVs and application.

My platform provides an online intuitive system where job seekers are able to create and share links to their CVs with anyone for a quick review per section.

This is the CV review equivalent of reddit's "roast my startup".

Over the years, LinkedIn has largely favored job seekers with considerably amount of working experience (4+). A job seeker not having work experience does not mean they aren't capable or talented. There are many job seekers with amazing talents that an overlooked. The talent industry needs change.

It also provides a public platform to showcase the profiles and front pages of job seekers with little or no working experience to recruiters and employers. The platform provides a dead simple user interface where users can easily invite friends and colleagues to review their C.V online

KwickBox provides a simple user interface which makes setting up a professional C.V site easy as pie. Another interesting feature in the platform is the online C.V review feature. With this feature, users are able to collect diverse feedback from friends and colleagues by simply sharing their C.V site link.

As a newbie (8years ago), my main issue on LinkedIn was being ignored. This was due to the fact that I lacked experience.

In recent times, the dynamic has slightly moved towards grooming newbies and job seekers with talents and motivation to learn. Hence the main reason for building my platform, KwickBox.

KwickBox is a public platform developed to showcase the profiles and front pages of job seekers who have little or no working experience. I strongly believe that newbies are the future of tomorrow!

A Faster Way To Improve The Quality And Contents On Your CV

CV's are always evolving. There is a statistic which states, the design and contents of your CV establishes either a good or bad impression with your future employer.

I remember applying for jobs and trying to gather opinions and feedback from other developers, work colleagues and friends regarding my CV. These opinions were a lot, confusing and hard to implement. I had to paste a screenshot of my CV on social media platforms and then gather feedback via the comments section.

Upon creating your online CV, you are able to invite friends, colleagues, etc to provide detailed feedback review per section on your CV, for example: work experience section, educational information section, portfolio section. Looking at the recruitment industry, especially during this pandemic, there are loop holes in the talent sector. The most underrated talents are the fresh graduates, newbies and job seekers with little or no working experience. Atleast 25times per day, I see tweets like "Please retweet. My employer could be on your timeline". Upon checking the profile of the original poster, said poster is a newbie. There is a high chance that their tweets fall on deaf ears.

This also happens with some recruiters on LinkedIn whereby job seekers are required to comment with things like "Hi" if interested "in a job". Such posts end up having 1000+ comments. There is no way the recruiter ends up viewing each profile.

I am a software engineer with 7.5 years experience, specializing in compression engineering and A.I. In my experience, the newbies do a better job as opposed to the so called "professionals" and "senior engineers".

This loop hole motivated me to develop my new platform, KwickBox. I call it the BetaList for job seekers. My platform features the profiles, portfolio and front pages of job seekers (who possess little or no working experience). Said job seekers are also included in the daily newsletter which is viewed by recruiters, employers and other visitors.

The platform is entirely based on digital CV's and front pages. The front page is the first page every visitor sees upon arriving at your CV. Use this page to talk about what makes you special, further customize it using either WYSIWYG or markdown flavour, attach screenshots of previous work and more details.

With the use of Artificial Intelligence, employers are able to search for their ideal talent within seconds.

A bit about the A.I:
I can't divulge much information about the algorithm, but I'll give an overview.

As the platform features the portfolios and front pages of job seekers, we have a neural network studying patterns. This can include: job sector, skills, location(as indicated on their CV's), preferred job role and more. The neural network gets information via the front page of the job seeker and portfolio projects (for example software based) (using intelligent search and natural language processing).

Upon compiling the required information, the A.I scans through the employer's website (if it exists) or by keywords (for example, software development) and through our custom algorithm is able to provide atleast 20 newbie talents.

Employers are also able to get talents using the old-school search process should they wish to.

I plan on making a separate blog post with a bit of diagrams explaining parts of the algorithm. But this is pretty much the overview.

The platform also has premium features. I'll highlight the most loved one, which is CV Review. With this feature, send invite links to trusted individuals such as colleagues and they'll be able to provide a comprehensive CV review per section (for example, work experience, portfolio, etc). You'll get email notifications upon the completion of the CV review.

The platform is growing quickly with 650+ daily active users in the past month.

QuickPublisher - A Simple Blogging Platform (Milestone)

Its been 5 months since I released my blogging platform, QuickPublisher. It started as a bumpy ride. But in the past 9 days, alot happened. I am here to share the results.

The best moment was when QuickPublisher had 1 daily active user. Many people would laugh at this stat. But this felt amazing. I always believe that Daily Active User (DAU) is the most important metric (big or small startup). It was amazing to have one blogger who always posted 5 articles daily and would give feedback on bugs in the platform, requested features and room for improvement.

Between April and August 15th, I gained 290 more daily active users (slow but better).

Everything changed on August 16th. I posted a link on HackerNews and within 5minutes I was on top of the SHOWHN page. This major coup led QuickPublisher to 600 daily active users in total.

Today, QuickPublisher has 289 users on the premium plan which only costs $15.99/year to point your blog to a custom domain, blogging collaboration and many more premium features.

Solve Your CV Privacy Problems Today - KwickBox

In the job sector today, one of the biggest problems faced is privacy. The trend now is that job seekers are made to feel desperate and needy. Job seekers now apply for jobs (anywhere) to any email address without the thought of privacy. This is because securing a job definitely leads to making some money and living a bit more comfortable.

Unfortunately, most job sites today require job seekers to upload their CV's (PDF, DOC format) and enter their details before applying for jobs. Under the hood, these so called job sites tend to abuse user information by selling them to other third-party websites. And in some cases, should the site experience a security breach, lots of user information gets exposed.

I did a little survey and found out that most people (especially females) did not feel safe/comfortable with their email addresses and or phone numbers on their CV. This shows just how extreme it gets.

I also did a survey amongst job seekers (5,276). In conclusion, 77.2% of them never got feedback when they applied to jobs (even the ones they qualified for).

My platform, KwickBox has been developed to solve this large issue here. It helps job seekers to apply for jobs using their KwickBox account anonymously (without having to upload any PDF CV or reveal their identities or email address), using their online CV website link.

This method guarantees privacy for job seekers and labor force as a whole.

They'll be able to track when the prospective employers/recruiters view their CV and get accurate audit trail information.

Users can also revoke access to their online CV website easily via the admin dashboard without worrying about privacy breaches.

I'm also looking for job sites to join me. I am in the process of developing a REST API where said job site would be able to integrate with and allow KwickBox users apply easy.

This method also helps job sites as now they won't be on the hook for privacy issues or need to store any data about the user, etc.
