      <description>&lt;p&gt;I learned Python the messy way – years of Googling, Stack Overflow, no real book. So I finally wrote the one I wish I had.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It's The Python Codex – free, no paywall, no signup:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I wrapped it in a little story – a journey to the planet Pythora where Python runs reality – but underneath it's a proper tutorial:&lt;/p&gt;
