I wanted to write this because when I was choosing a laptop, most reviews were about video editing or benchmarks. I just write code. So here is what daily development looks like on the new MacBook Air.

What I do on it - Node and React projects - Docker sometimes - VS Code, a browser with too many tabs, Slack, and a music app, all open at once.

What felt good - It stays quiet: The Air has no fan. Even when I was running a dev server and a build, I never heard anything. After years of loud laptops, this was the thing I noticed first. - Battery. I can work away from the charger for a normal day. I stopped carrying the charger to the cafe. - Storage. The new Air starts at 512GB. My old laptop had 256GB and I was always deleting node_modules folders to make space. This is a nice change.

What to watch out for - Get enough RAM. If you use Docker or run a few heavy tools together, 16GB is the minimum I would pick. 8GB feels tight for dev work. - It can slow down under very long heavy loads because there’s no fan. For normal coding it’s fine. If you compile huge projects all day, look at latest MacBook Price in BD Now. The 13-inch Air now starts at around ৳156,500 in the Bangladesh, which is more than the previous versions.

**Should you buy it? **If you do web or app development and want something light that lasts a full day, yes, it’s a good pick. If you already have an M3 or M4 machine, honestly, I’d skip it. The jump isn’t big enough.
What laptop are you coding on? Tell me in the comments, I’m curious.
