After spending years trying to find the best products, best for the price and best in quality - doing it over and over, I finally decided to make something.

A lot of people, maybe even everyone - just wants to find the best possible product for a reasonable price. Be it a phone or a watch. Maybe even a cat!

Decision fatigue is a real problem, especially when you try and find out the best possible use for your money when buying something and hoping you don't get any buyer's remorse right after the purchase.

I made a website which would list the best products for the price, period. So you don't have to go through the hassle of avoiding all the marketing crap. Of-course these are all my opinions which you are free to disagree with, and maybe even open a PR suggesting if something better is available in the market.

Currently the list is small, since I am starting out but I plan to keep expanding it as I come across something worth buying. Consumerism.

Harmony OS 2.0

Harmony OS will be coming to smartphones next year (2021)

Huawei has confirmed that - beta of the Harmony OS 2.0 SDK will be available from September 10, 2020 (today). Aimed towards smartwatches, TVs, and car head units initially.

A beta SDK version for smartphones will also be made available around December 2020.

OpenHarmony

This project would be the open-source version of the Harmony OS project. The idea here is pretty similar to the AOSP project for the Android OS - providing an open-source approach for the masses to work on independently

Huawei says it will fully open Harmony OS before October 2021

ARM transition?

Do you guys think apple pushing for ARM over x86 would make a huge splash in the industry? Will other manufacturers also start moving away from x86?

I love python

The language is beginner-friendly
Easy to understand
"Just works" (but not in a bad way)
Requires way fewer lines of code

Python is slow

The one thing I always see tossed around about python is that it's slow.

Yes people I am aware you can make it fast, by using blocks of C code for your logic and loading them into Python or using builtin functions etc.

What am I looking for - Maybe Go?

A language which is simple like python but also relatively faster.
Off the top of my head, I can say GoLang looks simple, but it also requires comparatively more lines of code than python does to do stuff.

My question

Is there any language in the works - which provides all the pythonic features but is also relatively faster?

Google launches Game Servers

Game Servers is a managed service built on Agones. It is an open-source game server scaling project.

Game Servers uses Kubernetes and Agones. It (Agones) is used for game server fleet orchestration and lifecycle management.

Agones allows developers to host, run and scale dedicated game servers on Kubernetes.

Game Servers is now available for production workloads

Game Servers is free until the end of the year, devs will be billed for the underlying use of the Kubernetes clusters*

Dedicated Game Server Hosting and Scaling for Multiplayer Games on Kubernetes

Agones is a library for hosting, running and scaling dedicated game servers on Kubernetes.

Agones, is derived from the Greek word agōn which roughly translates to “contest”, “competition at games” and “gathering” (source)

Why does this project exist?

Agones replaces usual bespoke or proprietary cluster management and game server scaling solutions with a Kubernetes cluster that includes the Agones custom Kubernetes Controller and matching Custom Resource Definitions for GameServers, Fleets and more.

With Agones, Kubernetes gets native abilities to create, run, manage and scale dedicated game server processes within Kubernetes clusters using standard Kubernetes tooling and APIs. This model also allows any matchmaker to interact directly with Agones via the Kubernetes API to provision a dedicated game server.

What's your favourite Linux distribution and why?

My favourite distro is Arch Linux because I love AUR and need a rolling distribution. Also archwiki is amazing :)
