      <description>&lt;p&gt;git-icons is built in Rust,   and uses the Rust Crate &lt;a href="https://github.com/samdenty/repo_icons"&gt;&lt;code&gt;repo_icons&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/a&gt; to fetch the icons for a given repository.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Once the icons are fetched, it writes them to the &lt;code&gt;Icon?&lt;/code&gt; file inside all your repo directories.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It also has SQLite persistence with &lt;a href="http://diesel.rs/"&gt;Diesel.rs&lt;/a&gt;. This allows you to use a custom icon for a repository, or switch between the different icons returned by &lt;code&gt;repo_icons&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
