As we hit the halfway mark in 2025, I wanted to share a list of 10 tools that have seriously boosted my workflow, productivity, and creativity as a developer.

Some are underrated, others are just plain cool. Let’s dive in:

 🔧 1. Raycast

Fastest way to do anything on a Mac. It’s like Spotlight, but for developers.

 🛠 2. Zed

A new kind of lightning-fast code editor. Minimal, snappy, and collaborative.

 🌐 3. Insomnia

API testing made simple. Great alternative to Postman.

 🧪 4. Playwright

E2E testing for modern apps. Fast, powerful, and easier than Selenium.

 📦 5. Turso

Edge-hosted SQLite database. Built for speed and simplicity.

 ⚙ 6. Make

No-code/low-code automation. Build workflows without writing a single script.

 📋 7. Notion + GitHub Sync

Manage your development docs in Notion, automatically linked with your issues and PRs.

 🔥 8. Codeium

An AI code completion tool that’s free and fast. Great Copilot alternative.

 📊 9. LogRocket

Session replay + performance monitoring = better bug fixing.

 🎨 10. Haikei

Generate unique SVG backgrounds in seconds. Great for dev portfolios.

💬 Your turn:

Have you tried any of these? Got any hidden gems that deserve more attention?

Drop your favorite tools below and let’s build a master list together.

Hey DEV community! 👋

I’m currently working on building profile authority through smart SEO strategies both for my own projects and clients. I wanted to share a few practical tips that are often overlooked but still deliver results in 2025:

✅ Quality over quantity with backlinks Focus on real engagement and meaningful contributions on forums, Q&A sites, and niche communities.

✅ Internal linking matters — It's not just about backlinks from other sites. A strong internal link structure helps bots and users navigate your content better.

✅ Write for people, optimize for search Don’t sacrifice natural flow just for keywords. Google's getting better at detecting authenticity.

✅ Community participation passive SEO Places like DEV, Reddit, Quora, or niche forums offer authority-building opportunities without being spammy.

I’d love to hear what’s been working for others in SEO lately — drop your insights or tools in the comments!

Thanks for reading 🙌
Samuel Miz
