EventHub: Weeks 12 & 13 — Feedbackand the Final Version

EventHub: Weeks 12 & 13 — Feedbackand the Final Version

After weeks of designing, building, and testing internally, weeks 12 and 13 were all about listening — listening to our users.
We finally opened EventHub to early testers — university students, the very people we built this platform for. And their feedback was priceless.

What we learned:
✅ Some features worked exactly as planned.
✅ Some flows were confusing and needed adjustments.
✅ Little details — button placements, error messages, loading indicators — make a huge difference to real users.

Why this mattered:
It’s easy to build what you think people want.
It’s harder — and far more valuable — to build what they actually need.

Alongside implementing this feedback, we spent these weeks doing:
🔧 Final debugging
⚙️ Optimizing performance and loading times
🖥️ Adding form validations and accessibility improvements

This has probably been one of the most intense phases of the project — balancing coding with testing, fixing bugs while preparing for the official launch.

But seeing EventHub take shape into something usable, helpful, and real is why we started this journey in the first place.

The launch is right around the corner. Let’s go. 🚀

EventHub: Weeks 10 & 11 — The Power of Collaboration and User Experience

EventHub: Weeks 10 & 11 — The Power of Collaboration and User Experience

As we moved deeper into the development of EventHub, weeks 10 and 11 reminded us of something critical:
Great products aren’t just built with code — they’re built with collaboration.

During these weeks, we worked closely as a team to refine both the technical side of the platform and the user experience. The focus was clear:
✔️ Making the platform intuitive
✔️ Making it accessible across devices
✔️ Improving every small interaction so that students feel comfortable using it

We dedicated significant time to responsive design to ensure that EventHub feels just as smooth on a mobile screen as it does on a laptop. Knowing that most students rely on their phones, this step was essential.

But the real highlight?
➡️ Seeing how everyone in the team supported each other — from problem-solving difficult bugs to giving feedback on UI improvements.
➡️ Realizing that collaboration isn’t just about dividing work — it’s about lifting each other up, challenging each other to do better, and celebrating progress together.

We’re building EventHub as developers, but we’re also growing as teammates and professionals.

More growth ahead. More challenges to face. And we’re ready. 🚀

EventHub: Weeks 8 & 9 — From Features to Stability

EventHub: Weeks 8 & 9 — From Features to Stability

After laying the foundation of EventHub during the first phase, the focus over the last couple of weeks has shifted to something equally important: making sure everything works the way it should.

These weeks were all about testing, debugging, and improving. We spent hours going through the platform, identifying bugs, refining user flows, and making sure that every feature works smoothly and securely. We also worked on strengthening authentication and improving the security of user data — because building a platform means taking responsibility for its users.

One of the biggest lessons during this phase?
✅ Building features is only half the work.
✅ Making those features reliable, safe, and usable is what turns a project into a product.

It hasn’t always been easy — late nights, frustrating bugs, tests that fail over and over — but that’s how we grow. And honestly, seeing the platform evolve and improve week by week makes it all worth it.

Proud of how far we’ve come. Grateful for the effort of the whole team. And excited about what’s coming next. 🚀

The First 7 Weeks of Building Something Meaningful

EventHub: The First 7 Weeks of Building Something Meaningful

The first phase of building EventHub has been an incredible learning experience. In these 7 weeks, we transformed a simple idea into a real, working product in progress.

We started with research and problem discovery, talking to students, understanding their challenges, and shaping the platform around their real needs. From there, we moved to designing a user-friendly interface that makes event discovery simple and accessible.

Technically, we built both the frontend and backend from scratch, using React for the user interface and Node.js for the server. We integrated authentication, made sure users could register and log in securely, and laid the foundation for creating and browsing events.

But what makes me most proud is how this project has been driven by teamwork. Every line of code, every design decision, every brainstorming session — it’s all been a shared effort. Together, we turned an idea into something real.

We’re not done yet, but these first 7 weeks have taught us that with commitment, collaboration, and curiosity — anything is possible.

More coming soon. 🚀

A step toward digitalizing student life!

Throughout this semester, we – Saranda Osmani, elmedina sefedini and Eliona Salihu – had the opportunity to collaborate on a unique and impactful project, guided by our mentor Professor Berat Ujkani.

EventHub is a web platform specifically designed to support university students across Kosova in organizing, managing, and participating in academic, cultural, and social events. The main goal is to create an easy-to-use digital ecosystem that fosters engagement, collaboration, and student involvement on and off campus.

Key Features of EventHub:
Secure Student Authentication
– Sign up using university email or via quick login through Google/Facebook.

Event Creation and Management
– Organizers can create events with detailed information including title, description, date, location, categories, and participant capacity.

Organizer Dashboard
– View and manage participants, send announcements, and edit event details in real time.

Built-in Social Interaction
– Students can like, comment, and share events based on their interests.

Admin Panel for Moderation & Insights
– Admins can approve/reject events and view participation statistics per university.

👩‍💻 This project helped us strengthen both our technical skills (frontend, backend, and UI/UX design) and our teamwork, communication, and project planning abilities.

EventHub is more than just a platform — it’s a meaningful step toward empowering student communities to stay connected, involved, and organized through technology.
📢 Stay tuned to watch the final version very soon!
