Hi everyone,

I really need some career advice because I feel completely stuck.

I started my career at Accenture. After joining a project, I was assigned the role of Business Analyst in the Banking domain. Unfortunately, things became very difficult for me.

One of my biggest weaknesses has always been English speaking. While I can read and write reasonably well, I struggle with spoken English and expressing my thoughts confidently. Since the Business Analyst role required constant communication with clients and team members, I found it very challenging.

To make things harder, I was working on FullKeys in a new banking project. Neither I nor my senior had much knowledge because the project was new. Whenever banking-related issues came up, I didn't know how to resolve them, and there wasn't much guidance available. Over time, I became frustrated, lost confidence, and eventually resigned.

It has now been four months, and I haven't received many interview calls. I interviewed with TCS and Infosys, but I struggled because of my spoken English. To be honest, my experience at Accenture made me lose a lot of confidence in speaking English. My family is also worried about my career.

Recently, I started learning Data Science. Before that, I had been studying Backend Development.

I would really appreciate some guidance:

Should I continue applying for jobs while improving my skills?

Should I buy any paid courses, or are free resources enough?

What skills are companies currently looking for in freshers or candidates with less than one year of experience?

Should I focus on Backend Development or continue with Data Science?

Should I look for internships? If yes, where can I find genuine internship opportunities?

How can I rebuild my confidence in spoken English while preparing for interviews?

I would be grateful for any advice from people who have gone through a similar situation or who are involved in hiring.

Thank you for reading.
