Why I Built NutriGraph

(And Why Nutritionix Costs Too Much) 🍎💻

I wanted to build a simple barcode scanner for my Keto diet. It sounded easy.

User scans barcode.

App calls API.

App shows "Net Carbs."

Then I looked at the API market.

The Problem: The "Duopoly of Discontent" 📉

I found two types of APIs:

1. The "Enterprise" Giants (Nutritionix, NielsenIQ)

 Cost: $399/month minimum.

Data: Good, but often misses niche tags like "Jain" or "Keto Certified."

Vibe: "Call our sales team." (I just wanted an API key).

2. The "Crowdsourced" Heroes (OpenFoodFacts)

 Cost: Free.

Data: Massive, but messy. "Coca-Cola" might be spelled "Coke", "coca cola", or "soda".

Vibe: Great for research, scary for production (missing allergens = lawsuit).

 So, I Built NutriGraph 🏗️

I spent the last year aggregating data from 150+ countries, cleaning it with AI, and building a graph database that understands ingredients.

If the label says "Caseinate," NutriGraph knows that = Milk.
If the label says "E120," NutriGraph knows that = Not Vegan (it's crushed bugs).

The "Founder Deal" (Why I'm writing this) 🚀

I'm launching NutriGraph Pro today.
Instead of $399/mo, I'm offering a Founder Deal:

 $199/mo (50% OFF Lifetime).

 100,000 API Calls.

200+ Intelligence Tags (Recalls, Halal, Kosher, Sustainability).

I have 10 spots open for early adopters who want to shape the roadmap.

Grab a key (there's a free tier too):

Let me know what you're building!
