<p>I am new to not just a newbie to the Dev community but I have to admit and I hate posting this. Even at 47 years old I am still a software developer virgin….. When I had the thought to begin learning software development I started to think I may be just having a mid life crisis or maybe I am becoming a sadomasochist because after I began my initial deep dive into the wonderful world of coding I started asking myself the same question over and over again. What the hell did I decide to get myself into!! I have a working knowledge of networking, hardware, and software. I would say I know enough to be dangerous. I was hoping that if anyone out there could or would help me out just a bit by giving something me sound advice on great starting points. Possibly books to read or videos to watch. Anything to help thin the overwhelming amount of information for a long in the tooth newbie who is interested in learning some coding but unfortunately is still old enough that I always still hear that original god awful Internet Connect screeching sound the phone line made even now when I get on WiFi or a hotspot. I appreciate any help or assistance with this endeavor. </p>
