A chatbot tells you how to reply to an email. An agent reads your inbox, drafts the reply, and sends it once you approve. The difference is whether it can reach your apps.

A chatbot talks. An agent does.

I use ClawLink in my day-to-day work, and it has changed what I ask my agent to do. Here are 20 things it can do once it's connected to your apps. I'll also show you the commands to set it up, plus a part most people don't know about!

  The 20 tasks

App

What your agent can do

Try asking

Gmail

Summarize unread email · draft a reply to any thread · find every email about a topic

"Summarize my unread email and draft replies to anything urgent."

Google Calendar

Find a free slot this week · schedule the meeting · read out today's agenda

"Find 30 minutes with Sam this week and book it."

Notion

Turn rough notes into a clean page · search the whole workspace · log meeting action items in a database

"Turn these notes into a Notion page and add the action items to my tasks."

Slack

Catch up on a busy channel · search past messages · post an update to the team

"What did I miss in #product today?"

Google Sheets

Log every new lead or order as a row · look up a customer's details · total a column and chart it

"Add this lead as a new row and total the amount column."

Telegram

Send an update to a chat or channel · post a poll · read recent messages

"Post a poll in the team chat: Friday standup at 10 or 11?"

ClickUp

Turn a messy note into tasks · see what's due this week and update a status

"What's due this week? Mark the design review as done."

That's 20 tasks across seven apps. Anything that writes or deletes asks for your approval first.

Here's roughly how a Gmail request goes:

You: Summarize my unread email from today and draft replies to anything urgent.

Agent: Found 14 unread emails from today. Two look urgent:
        1. Priya (Design): needs the launch copy by 3 pm
        2. Billing: a payment failed on the team invoice
I saved a draft reply to each. Nothing has been sent.

You: Send the one to Priya.

Agent: Sent.

`
(An illustration with made-up emails. It shows the flow: the agent reads, drafts, and waits for your OK before it sends anything.)

Set it up in three commands

npx -y @useclawlink/cli login # approve in your browser
npx -y @useclawlink/cli install claude-code # or cursor, windsurf, claude-desktop
npx -y @useclawlink/cli connect gmail # the app's own sign-in screen opens

plaintext
You never create an OAuth app, and after
login
no API key sits in any config file.

This is what
login
looks like. The terminal prints a link and a code, you approve in the browser, and you're signed in:

Other agents have their own installers:

openclaw plugins install clawhub:clawlink-plugin # OpenClaw
hermes plugins install ClawLink-HQ/hermes-plugin --enable # Hermes

To check whether an app is supported, run
npx -y @useclawlink/cli apps notion
. More than 1,100 are, including Google Drive and Docs, Outlook, HubSpot, Salesforce, GitHub and Canva. Some need a token from the vendor: Telegram, for one, gives you a free bot token through @botfather.

If you're weighing this against Composio, I compared them here.

  One more thing: public data

Everything above works inside your accounts. ClawLink also has tools that look things up on the public web. There is nothing to connect and no login. You ask in plain words, and your agent picks the right tool.

Source

What you can look up

Example question

Instagram

Profiles, posts, reels, comments, hashtags, video transcripts

"What are this creator's most-viewed reels this month?"

TikTok

Profiles, videos, comments, audience location, top ads

"Which skincare ads are working on TikTok right now?"

YouTube

Videos, comments, captions, channels, search

"Summarize the captions of this video."

LinkedIn

People, companies, posts, jobs, ads

"Find people posting about AI agents this week."

X

Profiles, posts, replies, search, trends

"What are people replying to this post?"

Amazon, Walmart, eBay

Product pages and prices

"What does this product cost across the three stores?"

SEO

Keyword and search-result data, domain and backlink data, whether AI answers mention a brand

"Which sites rank for this keyword?"

Markets

Crypto and stock prices

"What's the current price of Bitcoin?"

Reddit, Threads, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitch, Spotify and a few more are in there too.

A real run on NASA's public Instagram account, in Claude Code:

(Screenshots from my own Claude Code run on 21 Oct 2026.)

How it works and what it costs

It is read-only. It can't post or change anything.

You pay a fraction of a cent per lookup from a prepaid credit. An Instagram profile lookup, for example, costs about $0.003.

New accounts start with $0.50 free, with no card needed.

  What it can't do

Worth knowing before you rely on it:

It asks before it changes anything. Sending, posting and deleting need your OK. It's a helper, not an autopilot, and I'd keep it that way.

It can still get things wrong. It's an AI model. Read a draft before you approve it, like you would with a new assistant's first emails.

Some apps need one extra step. Telegram wants a free bot token from @botfather. Most apps are just a sign-in.

Public data is read-only, and public only. It can't post for you and it can't see private accounts.

Lookups cost a little each time. It's fractions of a cent, but a loop that checks ten thousand profiles adds up, so be specific about what you ask for.

  Try it

Pick one app, connect it, and give your agent one task from the list. Which task would you add as #21?
