Hello everyone! 👋

I'm Shamil TP, a developer from Kerala, India, and a first-year MCA student at St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Devagiri.

I enjoy exploring technology, building projects, solving problems, and figuring out how things work behind the scenes. For me, programming isn't just about writing code — it's about turning ideas into something real.

And this is my first post on DEV! 🚀

💻 What I Work With

I'm interested in both frontend and backend development, and I enjoy exploring different technologies rather than limiting myself to one ecosystem.

Some of the technologies I've been working with include:

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js
Backend: Python, FastAPI, Django, Node.js, Express
Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, C
Tools & technologies: Git, GitHub, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD

I'm also interested in embedded systems and IoT. Experimenting with Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi boards has made me curious about connecting hardware with websites, APIs, and real-world applications.

🛠️ I Like Building, Not Just Learning

I believe the best way to understand a technology is to build something with it.

Whether it's developing a web application, deploying a backend service on Linux, experimenting with databases, or connecting a microcontroller to a web dashboard, I enjoy learning through practical projects.

I'm especially interested in building applications that are fast, lightweight, useful, and accessible.

I also enjoy exploring SEO and web performance because building a website is only part of the journey — helping people discover it matters too.

🧠 What I'm Exploring Right Now

Technology moves fast, and there's always something new to learn.

Currently, I'm interested in:

Full-stack development and choosing the right tools for each project.
Linux, self-hosting, and home lab experiments.
DevOps, Docker, CI/CD, and deployment workflows.
Machine learning and practical applications of AI.
Embedded systems and IoT integrations.
Search engine optimization and web performance.

I'm particularly fascinated by how different technologies can work together to turn a simple idea into a complete product.

I joined DEV because I want to be part of a community where developers share what they build, explain what they learn, discuss their mistakes, and help each other grow.

I don't claim to know everything. I'm still learning, experimenting, and figuring things out — and that's exactly why I want to start sharing my journey.

My goal is to write about things I learn, document interesting projects, share solutions to problems I've encountered, and hopefully help someone facing the same challenges.
