This is a submission for the 2025 Hacktoberfest Writing Challenge: Maintainer Spotlight

🎨 About the Project

Welcome to the CSS Art Museum
— an open-source initiative where creativity meets code! 💫

Just like a traditional museum that showcases ancient and valuable art, I imagined a digital gallery that could showcase artworks made with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — representing the creative side of the digital world.

The idea is simple: every contributor adds their own CSS creation, and together we build a growing museum of styles, colors, and imagination.

💫 What Makes It Unique

Beginner-friendly and open to everyone 🧩
You can download, share, or like any digital art
Each piece is an individual expression of design and logic
A place where developers turn into artists, and code turns into creativity

🧠 Contributions Welcome

We welcome contributions in:
🎨 Code – Add your own CSS art or improve features
📘 Documentation – Help new contributors get started easily
🖌️ Design – Make the digital museum more aesthetic and interactive

Yes, we have beginner-friendly issues labeled as good first issue to help newcomers start contributing confidently.

🧭 What I’ve Learned as a Maintainer

Maintaining this project has been a journey filled with ideas, excitement, and collaboration.
I learned that in today’s digital world, there’s never just one solution — every problem can be approached creatively.
Through Hacktoberfest, I discovered the value of pitching ideas, communicating effectively, and guiding contributors — skills that go far beyond coding.

⚙️ Challenges Faced

Some contributors didn’t always follow the right process — like referencing issues or structuring PRs properly — so I had to spend time guiding them.
But I see this as part of the journey; mentoring new contributors is also what open source is about.

🪞 How I Review Contributions

I review every PR based on:

Effort and creativity

Logical implementation

The impact it adds to the project

Even a small contribution that adds value is appreciated — because every line of code helps build the museum.

🌍 Impact & Community

The CSS Art Museum has inspired many people to explore creative coding and share their work with pride.
It’s heartwarming to see contributors ask questions, experiment with styles, and bring new ideas to life — all while learning together as a community.

🚀 Future Goals

Next, I aim to create a live webpage where even non-coders can draw and add their own digital art to the project — expanding creativity beyond coding skills.

💛 Personal Reflections

Every morning, I’d wake up, open my laptop, and start merging PRs — smiling at the amazing logic and creativity contributors shared.
Sometimes I was so impressed that I wished I could hire them (if only I had a company 😅).
This journey has been full of joy, learning, and inspiration.

🙏 Special Thanks

A huge thank you to Ritesh (github link:https://github.com/Ritesh381)
— for maintaining and supporting the project with his backend expertise.
I’m still learning, and his help and ideas have truly shaped the growth of CSS Art Museum.

🏛️ Join the Museum

The Digital Desk: Frontend Office Life in CSS

This is a submission for Frontend Challenge: Office Edition sponsored by Axero, CSS Art: Office Culture.

 Inspiration

I wanted to develop and showcase my frontend skills, and this challenge felt like the perfect opportunity to do that. The theme instantly sparked some fun design ideas, and I decided to turn them into code!

 Demo

Code link: https://github.com/Shamli-Singh-Yadav/CSS-Art-Office-Culture
live view: https://shamli-singh-yadav.github.io/CSS-Art-Office-Culture/

 Journey

Before jumping into the code, I designed the layout and visual structure first, focusing on how different elements in an office setting could be represented creatively with just HTML and CSS.

Some of my favorite parts to create were:

💻 The laptop desk, which brought the workspace to life.

💬 The animated chat bubbles, simulating real office convos.

📌 The bulletin board, giving the scene a realistic office vibe.

I wasn’t frustrated at all during the process — in fact, I really enjoyed the entire journey. It allowed me to push my imagination and see how far pure CSS could go in bringing scenes to life.
