We Did It Organization

Ever feel like the world could be a better place if we just did something? That’s exactly how We Did It started. It wasn’t some big corporate initiative or a government scheme—it was just an idea proposed by a student at P.B. Siddhartha College in Vijayawada.

It all started with a spark—an idea to create a social start-up. But when COVID-19 hit, lockdowns happened, and the world went virtual. For a lot of organizations, this would have been the end but Not for We Did It. They didn’t stop. They adapted. They found ways to keep moving forward, and thanks to their incredible volunteers, they started something that’s now so much bigger than anyone could’ve imagined.

From the beginning, they’ve focused on making real changes. Not just temporary fixes, but goals that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development.

Ending poverty, ensuring everyone has access to clean water, promoting quality education, tackling climate change... the list goes on. It’s ambitious but every little step counts.

These goals are mentioned in their website and the initiatives taken by the organization to achieve them.

We Did It isn’t just an organization—it’s a movement. And at the heart of it are the volunteers. People like you and me who believe in doing something good.

When you volunteer with We Did It, you’re not just helping others—you’re growing too. You learn leadership skills, build empathy, and get to be part of something that’s genuinely making a difference.

They sit down with senior citizens and learn from their life stories. It’s such a simple yet beautiful way to connect generations. There’s something so inspirational about hearing wisdom from someone who’s lived through decades of ups and downs.

** Inspiration in Pages**

If you’ve ever doubted the power of books, you need to check out what the founder, Sree Krishna Seelam, has written. His first book, 5 Killer Habits – Be a Rebel, is a game-changer for anyone looking to grow and succeed in life. And the profits? They’re funding education for rural girls.

His second book, Indian Law for the Common Man, takes something as intimidating as law and makes it simple, relatable, and accessible. Again, all the money goes back into the organization to keep spreading goodness.

And there’s more to come—two new books are on the way. And just like the first two, they will leave a good impact.

Proof That Good Work Matters

In 2021, We Did It was recognized with the National Award for Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship by The Economic Times. But more than the award, it’s the lives they’ve touched and the difference they’ve made that speaks volumes.

** What About You?**

There’s this line from 5 Killer Habits – Be a Rebel that sums it up perfectly:

“We can earn respect by giving something we have like money and time. Volunteering is one way we serve society. It’s about showing gratitude towards the universe.”

And that is all this organization is. Showing up, helping out, and making things better—not just for ourselves, but for everyone around us.

We Did It. Will you?

Indian Law for Common Man by Sree Krishna Seelam, the founder of the We Did It organization, is a must-read for anyone who finds the legal system confusing or intimidating. Let’s face it—Indian law often feels like a maze of rules and regulations, but this book breaks it down in a way that’s easy to understand. It simplifies big legal concepts and helps readers navigate the system without feeling overwhelmed.

Introduction to Our Legal System
The first few chapters convey why every citizen should learn about the law. It’s not just for lawyers or politicians—it’s for all of us. The author explains why knowing the law is crucial: it helps us understand our rights and duties, make better choices, solve problems, avoid scams, trust the system, and live in harmony.

The book also gives a clear overview of the different branches of the legal system. From the Constitution to the origins of Indian law, and from court structures to criminal and civil law, it’s all laid out in simple terms. I found the explanations of the dual legal system, federal governance, and alternative dispute resolution particularly helpful. The author does a fantastic job of making the Constitution, often seen as too complex, accessible to everyone.

Rights and Duties
One of the most important takeaways from the book is understanding our fundamental rights as citizens. The author explains these rights in detail, covering:

Right to Equality (Articles 14-18)
Right to Freedom (Articles 19-22)
Right against Exploitation (Articles 23-24)
Right to Freedom of Religion (Articles 25-28)
Cultural and Educational Rights (Articles 29-30)
Right to Constitutional Remedies (Article 32)
Each right is broken down with real-life relevance, making it clear how these laws protect us daily. Beyond fundamental rights, the book also touches on consumer protection rights and intellectual property rights, which are increasingly important in today’s world.

But it’s not just about rights—the book also emphasizes our duties as citizens. Rights and duties go hand in hand, and the author explains how following our constitutional duties helps create a balanced society.

Types of Law
The book provides an excellent overview of the various types of laws in India:

Criminal Law: Protects individuals accused of crimes and ensures justice for victims.

Civil Law: Resolves disputes between people.

Family Law: Safeguards fairness and rights within families.

Property Law: Protects ownership and transfer of property.

Labor and Employment Law: Ensures fair treatment for workers.

Environmental Laws: Focuses on protecting our environment.

Cyber Law: Deals with virtual crimes and online safety.
Each type of law is explained with examples, helping readers see how these laws apply to everyday life. I especially appreciated the sections on environmental and cyber laws, which feel more relevant than ever.

Navigating the Legal System
The book isn’t just about understanding laws—it also guides readers on what to do if their rights are violated. It explains how to file a case, seek legal aid, and resolve disputes through alternative methods like mediation. It’s practical and empowering, especially for someone unfamiliar with legal procedures.

Final Thoughts
Indian Law for Common Man is more than just a guide—it’s a tool for empowerment. By demystifying our legal system, it helps readers trust the process and believe in justice. The saying “Justice can be delayed but not denied” resonates deeply throughout the book. Yes, the process can be slow, but the law ultimately works to protect us.

This book is a reminder that knowledge is power. Understanding our rights and duties equips us to stand up for ourselves and others when injustice occurs. If you’ve ever felt lost or frustrated trying to navigate Indian law, this book is the perfect starting point.

5 Killer Habits – Be A Rebel

5 Killer Habits – Be A Rebel by Sree Krishna Seelam, the founder of the We Did It organization. The book is all about five key habits that can help us achieve success—not by following the crowd, but by breaking away from societal norms and defining success for ourselves.

Awake, Arise & Kickass
The first step toward achieving anything significant starts early—literally. This chapter focuses on the power of waking up before dawn. It’s not just about being productive but about the mental clarity and physical health benefits that come with an early start. Exercise also plays a big role here, reminding us how important it is to keep our bodies healthy.

Be a Hero
This chapter is about volunteering—not just for strangers but also for your loved ones. Helping others builds leadership skills and gives life more meaning. The author even talks about continuing to help after death by becoming an organ donor. And being a hero isn’t limited to people; it extends to taking care of the planet by reducing pollution and doing our bit for the environment.

Be a Dromomaniac
Ever felt the urge to just pack your bags and explore? That’s what being a dromomaniac is all about—the uncontrollable need to travel. This chapter explains how traveling isn’t just fun; it’s a way to relieve stress, learn from the world around us, and even rediscover parts of ourselves that we may have lost touch with.

Live a Hundred Lives
This chapter is for anyone who loves books. Reading, the author says, lets us live multiple lives. Biographies, novels, and other books let us experience different perspectives, gain knowledge, and make more thoughtful decisions. It’s a reminder of how powerful and transformative reading can be.

Stay Curious: The Why Habit
The final chapter emphasizes the importance of asking “why.” Blindly following traditions or rules without understanding them can be dangerous, and this habit is all about staying curious. It encourages us to challenge harmful practices and superstitions while constantly learning and growing.

Final Thoughts
5 Killer Habits – Be A Rebel is an inspiring read that’s not just about personal growth but also about contributing to the world around us. These habits remind us to focus on our mental and physical health, challenge outdated norms, and take meaningful actions to help others. If you’re looking for a book that motivates you to live a fuller life, this one’s a great pick.

This hurdle didn’t stop the organization from its objective. Their goal strive through virtual platforms which later gave them massive recognition and helped them move closer towards their achievement which was achieved by the heart of this organization ‘Volunteers’ who spread goodness in the way it was possible during the situation.

The goal of the organization has been very keen from the start. The goals were derived from the UN for sustainable development. The goals are as follows:

Indian Law for Common Man is a book written by the founder of We Did It Mr. Sree Krishna Seelam. This book contains the fundamentals of our Indian law.

This book helps the readers to comprehend our law more easily and helps in demystifying its complexity. Big laws are broken down to make it more understandable. For many people who find law as a complicated and unachievable system, this book comes to the rescue.

Introduction to our legal system:

The first few chapters emphasize the necessity for every citizen to learn about our law. The necessities of being knowledgeable about our law system as mentioned in the book are: Knowing our rights and duties, making correct choices, solving problems, staying safe from scams, Building trust in the legal system, make us live in harmony.

These chapters dive into detail about the divisions in our legal system. The various divisions mentioned in this chapter are: the constitution, origination of Indian law, levels of courts, dual legal system, federal system of governance, common law, criminal law and civil law, legal workers, and other ways to resolve disputes.

These topics help in understand the divisions in our legal system better and help us gain more knowledge about our law. The constitution of our country is also explained coherently by the author for the people who think our constitution is far from comprehension.

Rights and duties:

5 Killer Habits – Be A Rebel is a book written by the founder of the We Did It organization Mr. Sree Krishna Seelam. This book depicts the five habits that a human needs to follow to achieve success in life. This book teaches the readers to be a rebel who breaks all the social norms to attain our definition of success.

The five habits the book talks about are:

AWAKE, ARISE & KICKASS:

This is the first chapter of the book which also mirrors the first and foremost step to attain great lengths. That is waking up before dawn. This chapter not only explains the psychological benefits of waking up early but also the health benefits that come together. The need for exercise to keep our physical health intact is also depicted.

BE A HERO:

This chapter mainly talks about the greatness of volunteering. Volunteering is not only about serving outsiders but also our own families and friends. This form of service will help a person to have better leadership qualities. The need to become a volunteer mustn’t stop after death, and it should be continued as an organ donor which will help a lot of ill patients. Being a hero doesn’t mean only serving and donating, it also comes from being a savior of our mother Earth and by reducing pollution as much as a single person can.

BE A DROMOMANIAC:

This chapter depicts the need for a person to be a Dromomaniac. This means the uncontrollable urge to travel. Traveling not only helps us in relieving stress but also helps us to learn a lot. The knowledge can’t always be gained by books but by traveling and learning about the world. Traveling also helps in discovering our own selves which we have lost sense of long ago.

LIVE A 100 LIVES:

This lesson helps the readers to understand the importance of reading. Reading is one of the most efficient ways to gain knowledge. Reading not only helps in gaining knowledge but also makes the readers see different perspectives of different lives through biographies. Reading books helps us make rational decisions which may open ways to more success.

STAY CURIOUS: THE WHY HABIT:

The fifth chapter depicts the need for the habit of asking ‘why?’ Many people follow many superstitions just because they are said to be written in ancient books. The asking of why will help is stopping many inhumane practices like ‘Sati’. Many people use god’s name to misuse people which will be stopped by this practice. Staying curious also brings personal goodness like gaining knowledge. Staying curious and asking ‘why’, is never a bad habit.

In conclusion, this book guides a person to attain success by five different means which not only brings personal growth and development but also goodness through the deeds we need to provide. These five habits will help in break societal norms and help us to do good deeds and also grow in the process by developing both mental and physical health.
