      <description>&lt;p&gt;Post-exertional malaise (PEM), the key feature of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), is characterized by baseline symptom exacerbation after exposure to a stressor, and some patients can experience new or non-typical symptoms. We hypothesized that new or non-typical symptoms occurring long enough before onset of baseline symptom exacerbation could be warning signals predicting PEM. Adult ME/CFS patients who attended the internal medicine department of Angers University Hospital (France) between October 2011 and December 2019 were included in a retrospective medical records review. Patients who experienced one or more new or non-typical symptoms before baseline symptom exacerbation were compared with the rest of the study population for PEM features, epidemiological characteristics, fatigue features, and comorbidities. New or non-typical symptoms preceded baseline symptom exacerbation in 27/197 (13.7%) patients, and the most frequent ones were mood disorders (37%). When compared to the rest of the study population, only PEM intensity was significantly lower in these patients (p = 0.004), even after adjustment for sex and age at disease onset (p = 0.007). New or non-typical symptoms preceding baseline symptom exacerbation in some ME/CFS patients could be warning signals for PEM. Their identification could help preventing PEM occurrences or reducing their intensity leading to improving disease prognosis.Plants face a more volatile environment than other organisms because of their immobility, and they have developed highly efficient mechanisms to adapt to stress conditions. Transcription factors, as an important part of the adaptation process, are activated by different signals and are responsible for the expression of stress-responsive genes. MYB transcription factors, as one of the most widespread transcription factor families in plants, participate in plant development and responses to stresses by combining with MYB cis-elements in promoters of target genes. MYB transcription factors have been extensively studied and have proven to be critical in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites in plants, including anthocyanins, flavonols, and lignin. Multiple studies have now shown that MYB proteins play diverse roles in the responses to abiotic stresses, such as drought, salt, and cold stresses. However, the regulatory mechanism of MYB proteins in abiotic stresses is still not well understood. In this review, we will focus mainly on the function of Arabidopsis MYB transcription factors in abiotic stresses, especially how MYB proteins participate in these stress responses. We also pay attention to how the MYB proteins are regulated in these processes at both the transcript and protein levels.Identifying and characterizing cold responsive genes in Fragaria vesca associated with or responsible for low temperature tolerance is a vital part of strawberry cultivar development. In this study we have investigated the transcript levels of eight genes, two dehydrin genes, three putative ABA-regulated genes, two cold-inducible CBF genes and the alcohol dehydrogenase gene, extracted from leaf and crown tissues of three F. vesca genotypes that vary in cold tolerance. Transcript levels of the CBF/DREB1 transcription factor FvCBF1E exhibited stronger cold up-regulation in comparison to FvCBF1B.1 in all genotypes. Transcripts of FvADH were highly up-regulated in both crown and leaf tissues from all three genotypes. However, these SNVs have not been studied in patients with the phenotype of M and AH. In this review, we identify the SNVs that would be the most interesting to study in this aspect.       <description>&lt;p&gt;The bark of Norway spruce (Picea abies) contains up to 13% pectins that can be extracted by pressurized hot water, which constitute a valuable renewable resource in second-generation lignocellulosic biorefineries. This article proposes, for the first time, structural molecular models for the pectins present in spruce bark. Pectin fractions of tailored molar masses were obtained by fractionation of the pressurized hot water extract of the inner bark using preparative size-exclusion chromatography. The monosaccharide composition, average molar mass distribution, and the glycosidic linkage patterns were analyzed for each fraction. The pectin fraction with high molecular weight (Mw of 59,000 Da) contained a highly branched RG-I domain, which accounted for 80% of the fraction and was mainly substituted with arabinan and arabinogalactan (type I and II) side chains. On the other hand, the fractions with lower molar masses (Mw = 15,000 and 9000 Da) were enriched with linear homogalacturonan domains, and also branched arabinan populations. The integration of the analytical information from the macromolecular size distributions, domain composition, and branch lengths of each pectin fraction, results in a comprehensive understanding of the macromolecular architecture of the pectins extracted from the bark of Norway spruce. This paves the way for the valorization of spruce bark pectic polymers in targeted applications based on their distinct polymeric structures and properties.Based on additive manufacturing of wood flour and polyhydroxyalkanoates composites using micro-screw extrusion, device and process parameters were evaluated to achieve a reliable printing. The results show that the anisotropy of samples printed by micro-screw extrusion is less obvious than that of filament extrusion fused deposition modeling. The type of micro-screw, printing speed, layer thickness, and nozzle diameter have significant effects on the performance of printed samples. The linear relationship between the influencing parameters and the screw speed is established, therefore, the performance of printed products can be controlled by the extrusion flow rate related to screw speed.Limited information is available on the morphological characteristics of adult female footballers, therefore the aim of this article was to examine if there are position-specific differences in the morphological characteristics of sub-elite female football players and to establish normative standards for this level of female football players. The morphological features of 101 sub-elite female football players (age 21.8 ± 2.7 years) were assessed. Twenty anthropometric sites were measured for body composition and somatotype. The average value of body fat percentage was 20.8 ± 5.7%. The somatotype of the overall group was 4.0-2.4-2.1. Significant (p ≤ 0.05) differences were found between goalkeepers and outfield players in morphological characteristics. Goalkeepers were taller (166.2 ± 8.4 cm), heavier (66.5 ± 5.1 kg), possessed the highest body fat percentage (17.2 ± 6.2%) and showed higher values for all skinfold (sum of 6 skinfolds = 125.6 ± 45.9 cm), breadth, girth and length measurements. However, there were very few practically worthwhile differences between the outfield positions. Positional groups did not differ (p ≤ 0.05) in somatotype characteristics either. The study suggests that at sub-elite level there are mainly differences between goalkeepers and outfield players, but outfield players are homogeneous when comparing morphological characteristics. These results may serve as normative values for future comparisons regarding the morphological characteristics of female football players.T1 glottic cancer is a highly treatable disease with local control (LC) rates over 90% by either primary radiotherapy (pRT) or transoral laser microsurgery (TLM). LC of T2 glottic cancers is 15 percent points poorer on average. However, salvage after pRT entails more than 50% total laryngectomy. Therefore, there is a need for enhanced LC. Altered fractionation regimens improved LC in T1 but not in T2. For this reason, for T2, alternative strategies must be considered. In a large observational cohort study including 531 early-stage laryngeal cancers, a small number of patients were treated with primary chemoradiotherapy (pCRT). In multivariable analysis, factors associated with significantly poorer outcomes included age, comorbidities, supraglottic localization, and T category. While there was a significant difference between pRT and surgery (HR 1.79; 95%-CI 1.15-2.79), there was none between pCRT and surgery (HR 0.70; 95%-CI 0.33-1.51).  Cirrhotic patients with portal vein thrombosis (PVT) may have a high risk of hepatic decompensation and increased mortality. This study aimed to investigate if increased portal vein diameter is associated with PVT development. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A total of 174 cirrhotic patients were enrolled between February 1 and August 31, 2017. All participants were divided into PVT (n=62) and non-PVT (n=112) groups based on the thrombus that was detected by ultrasonography and confirmed by computed tomography angiography (CTA). &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The study participants, aged 54.7±10.5 years (PVT) and 55.8±11.6 years (non-PVT), were included in this analysis. The Child-Pugh score of PVT or non-PVT was 6.6±1.3 and 5.8±0.9, respectively. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is the primary etiological agent of cirrhosis. Logistic regression, receiver operating characteristic (ROC), and nomograph analysis designated portal diameter as the strongest independent risk factor for predicting PVT development [odds ratio (OR) 3.96, area under the ROC curve (AUC) 0.88; P&amp;lt;0.01], and the cutoff with predictive value for PVT development was &amp;gt;12.5 mm. No differences were observed in the overall survival (OS) in cirrhosis with or without PVT or stratifying on portal diameter based on the cutoff value. &lt;/p&gt;

 Hemorrhage is the second most common complication of percutaneous transthoracic needle biopsy (PTNB), and at present, there is no effective prevention strategy. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) has the advantage of clearly visualizing blood supply within the lesion and aiding in the imaging of blood vessels, which can reduce hemorrhage complicating PTNB. As no large-sample studies were evaluating whether CECT could reduce hemorrhage, we conducted the present retrospective study. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;From November 2011 to February 2016, 1,282 biopsies at Jinling Hospital were retrospectively reviewed; 555 underwent CECT, and 727 underwent non-contrast computed tomography (CT). Factors associated with hemorrhage were defined, and hemorrhage rates were compared between the 2 groups. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We found that pre-biopsy CECT was associated with a reduced incidence of biopsy-related hemorrhage compared to non-contrast CT (16.4% &lt;br&gt;
 23.1%, P=0.003). Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis also showed that the incidence of hemorrhage in the CECT group was lower than that of the non-contrast CT group at a ratio of 11 (P=0.039), 12 (P=0.028), or 13 (P=0.013). In the multivariate analysis, CECT before PTNB was found to be significantly associated with a reduced risk of hemorrhage [odds ratio (OR) 0.671, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.499-0.902, P=0.008]. Puncture position, lesion size, depth of needle tract, and the number of punctures were also found to be associated with hemorrhage (all P&amp;lt;0.05). &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Using a social exchange theory, this study focuses on two sources of information (doctors and people with diabetes) to investigate information exchange behaviors and consequences. Moreover, we also examine moderating effects of information price as patients need to pay prices for consulting with doctors to obtain medical information on OHCs. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;By using the Python program, a rich dataset contained 22,746 doctor-patient dialogues from December 2017 to Decem of the information price. The present study produces several insights, which have implications for social exchange, patient behavior, online health communities, and information technology in diabetes self-management literature. &lt;br&gt;
 Although the value of DACA medical students has been hypothesized, no data are available on their contribution to US healthcare. While the exact number of DACA recipients in medical school is unknown, DACA medical students are projected to represent an increasing proportion of physicians in the future. The current literature on DACA students has not analyzed the experiences of these students. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;A mixed-methods study on the career intentions and experiences of DACA medical students was performed utilizing survey data and in-depth interviews. The academic performance of a convenience sample of DACA medical students was compared to that of matriculated medical students from corresponding medical schools, national averages, and first-year residents according to specialty. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Thirty-three DACA medical students completed the survey and five participated in a qualitative interview. The average undergraduate GPA (SD) of the DACA medical student sample was 3.7 (0.3), the same as the national GPA of 2017-2018 matriculated medical students. The most common intended residency programs were Internal Medicine (27.2%), Emergency Medicine (15.2%), and Family Medicine (9.1%). In interviews, DACA students discussed their motivation for pursuing medicine, barriers and facilitators that they faced in attending medical school, their experiences as medical students, and their future plans. &lt;/p&gt;

 Migrants experience substantial changes in their neighborhood physical and social environments along their migration journeys, but little is known about how perceived changes in their neighborhood environment pre- and post-migration correlate with their mental health. Our aim was to examine the associations between recalled changes in the perceived neighborhood physical and social environments and migrants' mental health in the host city. &lt;/p&gt;

 Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) are associated with recurrent episodes of optic neuritis and transverse myelitis, often resulting in high attack-related disability. Therapeutic apheresis has been recommended as a second-line treatment for steroid-refractory NMOSD. To assess the efficacy and safety of two apheresis techniques, lymphoplasmapheresis (LPE) and therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), in refractory NMOSD and to provide a new treatment option for patients with refractory NMOSD. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This retrospective study examined NMOSD patients who had undergone either LPE or TPE treatment between January 2015 and January 2018. The patients were monitored for improvements in disabilities, incidences of adverse reactions, and safety of the procedure over a one-year follow-up period.
