Your GitHub profile is already a portfolio

Do you need a portfolio quickly because you don’t have one yet, or because yours is outdated? Gitog is made for developers who want a simple solution without spending hours building a portfolio from scratch or using a portfolio builder/CMS. It transforms your GitHub into a portfolio you can use to apply for jobs or share your projects with anyone.

I built it because I always had the same problem: I was too lazy to keep my portfolio updated. It could stay unchanged for weeks while my projects kept moving forward.

Since the launch, the project has continued to evolve. I received a lot of feedback that helped me improve the product, understand what wasn’t working, what was unclear, and what people didn’t fully understand. I improved the landing page, the features, and the design — basically everything that helps a SaaS grow.

Building a SaaS means constantly improving your project: listening to users, understanding their problems, and making the product a little better every day.

I also started doing outreach on Reddit to find my first users. That’s where I realized I had to learn how to convince people to give my product a chance. Going from building something to explaining why someone should spend two minutes trying it is a completely different skill.

I’m still learning, but with every conversation and every post, I get a little better at communicating the value of what I built. Even when someone says no, I usually learn something that helps improve either the product or the way I present it.

The project is moving forward slowly. I’m not chasing a viral moment — I’d rather keep improving it, one step at a time, and build something that genuinely helps developers.

If Gitog sounds useful, I’d love for you to give it a try. Any feedback, positive or negative, helps me make it better.

Gitog

I hope it can be useful to you. 🚀
