Solana Pay on WordPress: Accept SOL & USDC Without a Plugin

The WooCommerce Solana Pay plugins have come and gone, and many are unmaintained. For digital products, memberships or tips you don't need a plugin. A Custom HTML block and a small verification endpoint are enough.

 Steps

Deploy the verification Worker on Cloudflare's free tier. It creates order references and confirms payments.

In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block to your product page.

Paste the checkout snippet: a button, a QR container, and a script that calls
/api/order
and polls
/api/verify
.

Set your wallet address and price in the Worker, and keep your private key out of the code.

Test with a small real payment.

 Why not a plugin?

Plugins add attack surface and break on updates, and some route funds through third parties. A Solana Pay link pays your wallet directly, and the verification code is about 60 lines you can read.

 WooCommerce?

For physical-goods stores with carts, use the Worker as a payment step: create the order in WooCommerce, show the QR code on the thank-you page, and mark the order paid with a webhook when it's verified.

How to Accept USDC Payments on Your Website (2026 Guide)

USDC on Solana settles in seconds, and the network fee is a fraction of a cent. The buyer pays that fee, not you. With Solana Pay you don't need Coinbase Commerce, BitPay or any processor. The buyer sends USDC straight to your wallet.

 What you need

A Solana wallet address. Phantom, Solflare or Backpack all work. Use a dedicated receiving wallet.

A USDC token account on that wallet. Receive any small USDC amount once to create it.

A checkout that shows a Solana Pay QR code and verifies the payment.

 The payment link

solana:YOUR_WALLET?amount=19&spl-token=EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v&reference=UNIQUE_KEY&label=My%20Store

EPjFWdd5...Dt1v
is the official USDC mint. Always check this exact address. Anyone can create a token named "USDC".

 Confirming the payment

Look up the transaction by its
reference
with
getSignaturesForAddress
. Then confirm that your wallet's USDC balance for that mint went up by at least the price. Do this on a server. A free Cloudflare Worker is enough.

 USDC vs. card processors

| Card (Stripe) | 2.9% + 30¢, chargebacks, payout delays |
| USDC via Solana Pay | ~$0.001 network fee paid by the buyer, no chargebacks, instant |

How to Accept Solana (SOL & USDC) Payments on Your Website Without a Backend (2026)

Solana Pay is a URL standard, not a payment processor. You show a
solana:
link or QR, the buyer's wallet builds the transfer, and the money lands directly in your wallet. There's no processor fee, no chargebacks and no monthly bill. Here's how to set it up properly.

 1. The transfer request URL

solana:<YOUR_WALLET>?amount=7&spl-token=EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v&reference=<RANDOM_PUBKEY>&label=My%20Shop

Leave out
spl-token
to charge in SOL. The
reference
is a random public key generated for each order. Wallets attach it to the transaction, so you can find that payment on-chain later.

 2. Finding the payment

Call
getSignaturesForAddress(reference)
, then
getTransaction
for each signature. Check that the transaction succeeded, that your wallet's balance went up by at least the price, and, for USDC, that the mint is the real USDC mint.

 3. Verify on a server, but it can be free

Browser-only checks can be faked. A Cloudflare Worker on the free tier can do the verification and gate the download without a database: each download request re-checks the chain.

 4. Gotchas

Create your USDC token account before launch.

Check several signatures per reference. Dust spam can mention it first.

The public mainnet RPC blocks Cloudflare IPs. Use fallbacks or a free keyed RPC.

Use
confirmed
for small digital goods and
finalized
for anything valuable.
