Robinhood Chain for NFT Collectors: Gas, Wallets, and What to Watch (2026)

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum-compatible L2 built on Arbitrum Orbit with chainId 4663, ETH gas that typically costs a few hundredths of a gwei, and blocks that land in roughly 100–250 milliseconds. For collectors, the practical summary is: transactions cost fractions of a cent, confirmations feel instant, and OpenSea works natively — you don't bridge anywhere to trade.

We ship Spirit Cards on this chain, so we've spent the last months inside its tooling. This guide is the collector-side map: how to get set up, what things actually cost, and the sharp edges we'd point out to a friend. Anything chain-specific below comes from the chain's own documentation and our own transaction history; verify current numbers before relying on them.

The chain at a glance (October 2026)

Parameter

Value

Why a collector cares

Chain ID

4663 (testnet: 46630)

You'll type this into your wallet

Gas token

ETH

No new token to acquire

Typical gas price

~0.01–0.05 gwei

Micro-transactions become rational

Block time

~100–250 ms

Confirmations feel immediate

Stack

Arbitrum Orbit (Nitro)

Ethereum tooling and security assumptions carry over

Standards

ERC-721 / 1155 / 2981 / 4337

Wallets, royalties and account abstraction just work

Marketplace

Native OpenSea

Familiar buying flow, no new venue to learn

DeFi

Uniswap v3/v4 live

Swaps and liquidity exist on-chain

If you want the canonical reference, the chain's official docs are the source of truth — we deliberately keep this article to what a collector needs rather than duplicating a developer handbook.

Adding the chain to your wallet

Open your wallet's network settings and choose to add a network manually.

Enter the name
Robinhood Chain
and chain ID
4663
.

Paste the official RPC endpoint and explorer URL from the chain's docs. Use the official ones — a fake RPC is one of the oldest tricks in this space.

Set the currency symbol to
ETH
, save, and switch to the network.

For Spirit Cards specifically you can skip all of this: the site at spiritcards.fun detects the wrong network and offers to switch you. The docs walk through it screen by screen if you'd rather do it yourself, and the 中文文档 covers the same ground in Chinese.

 What things actually cost

Here's the part that changes collector behavior. On most chains you think twice before a small on-chain action. On Robinhood Chain:

A card forge in Spirit Cards is dominated by the game's own fee (from about $1 in ETH at launch, rising 25% per era) — the gas component is a rounding error.

Batch operations (staking several cards, claiming several payouts) are cheap enough that the gas line barely matters.

Merges and duel settlements, both of which involve moving cards around, stay in cents.

We measured our own mints during the first week: gas per mint sat at a few hundredths of a gwei, which at ETH prices translates to less than a cent per transaction. That's the entire reason a game where cards get merged, staked and dueled can exist on-chain without absurd overhead.

 Trading NFTs on Robinhood Chain

OpenSea indexes the chain natively, and Spirit Cards links its collection from the official site. Three habits worth keeping:

Open collections from the project's own links. Impersonators exist everywhere; a bookmark of spiritcards.fun beats a Google search.

Check the contract address against the docs. Ours are verified and listed in the GitBook.

Look at recent sales rather than the floor alone. Early networks have thin books, and a floor can be one stubborn listing.

Three sharp edges we'd flag honestly

1. No MEV protection on listing sales. If you fat-finger a listing price, a sniping bot can take it before you blink. There's no fancy private-mempool flow here yet. Double-check the price field before signing, and this stops mattering.

2. Thin liquidity, wide spreads. The chain is young. Small caps and new collections can have few buyers at any given moment. If you need out fast, you may pay for it — that's true for the whole NFT market, but more so here.

3. Ecosystem immaturity. Fewer third-party dashboards and tools than mainnet-adjacent chains. You'll rely more on the project's own interfaces and docs. We build the docs precisely because we know this.

None of these are reasons to avoid the chain. They're reasons to move deliberately, which is the same advice people needed on every chain in its first year.

 Wallet hygiene, in five lines

Keep your hardware wallet for anything you'd be upset to lose, and a separate hot wallet with pocket change for the game loop.

Approve exact amounts where the interface allows it, and audit token approvals monthly.

Bookmark spiritcards.fun — do not reach collections through search ads, ever.

When a page asks you to "re-validate your wallet", close the tab. Legitimate activity happens through your own signature, not through typing a phrase anywhere.

If a deal looks too good on a young chain, it usually is.

 FAQ

Is Robinhood Chain the same as the Robinhood trading app?
No. It shares a brand ecosystem and runs a public blockchain underneath. You interact through your own wallet, not a brokerage account, and nothing here executes as a stock trade.

Do I need a special wallet?
Any EVM wallet works — MetaMask, Rabby, hardware wallets. There's also ERC-4337 support if you're into account abstraction.

How do I get ETH on the chain?
Check the chain's official docs for current bridge routes; they change faster than articles get updated. We won't hard-code a bridge link here for exactly that reason.

Can I use Uniswap on Robinhood Chain?
Uniswap v3/v4 are deployed. Whether the pool you want has liquidity is a per-token question — check before you plan a route.

Limitations — when to think twice

You need guaranteed liquidity. Any young chain can have quiet hours; plan accordingly.

You're uncomfortable verifying addresses. Then trade only through official links, and only amounts you're fine losing to your own mistake.

You want a fully mature DeFi scene. Robinhood Chain is early; mainnet it is not, and we'd rather say that plainly.

 Where to follow along

Chain-specific questions are best answered by the chain's own docs. Spirit Cards-specific ones live in our GitBook and its 中文版本; we also post updates on X and hang out in Telegram. The contracts and miner are open at github.com/spiritcards.

Nothing here is financial or legal advice. Verify every address before signing; gas prices, features and bridge options change faster than any article can track.

How to Mine a Spirit Card: Browser and CLI Walkthrough (2026)

To mine a Spirit Card, open the mine page at spiritcards.fun/mine in a desktop browser, connect an EVM wallet, and press start — at the launch difficulty of 20 bits, a typical laptop finds a valid card in about five seconds. Prefer a dedicated machine? The CLI miner in our public repo does the same work with the same work format, and it's the better option for leaving something grinding overnight.

This is the walkthrough we wish existed when we started testing. It covers both paths, the real costs, and the mistakes that cost new miners fees.

What you're actually doing when you "mine"

The miner searches for a nonce that satisfies a hash condition:

work = keccak256(chainId ‖ contract ‖ miner ‖ nonce)
valid when leadingZeroBits(work) ≥ requiredBits

When a valid nonce turns up, the client submits it, and the contract forges a card whose traits derive from that hash. The part we care about: the
Mined
event emits the exact work bytes, so the number your miner shows you can be checked against the chain. If a project can't offer that, it isn't really mining — it's a random number generator with extra steps.

Path 1 — browser mining (where most people start)

Open the mine page at spiritcards.fun/mine on a desktop. The mobile browser works for viewing, but mining is a CPU job and phones thermal-throttle fast.

Connect your wallet. The site detects and switches you to Robinhood Chain (chainId 4663). If you've never added the chain, this happens for you — no manual RPC fiddling. The chain guide in this series covers the wallet side in detail.

Press start. The miner runs in a background thread, so you can browse the collection, read the docs, or leave the tab and work on something else.

Confirm the mint when it lands. A valid hash is not a card yet — you approve the forge transaction and pay the current fee. This is the step people miss when they say "nothing happened."

Respect the cooldown. Between mints there's a 45-second cooldown. It's short, but it exists, and it applies to everyone equally.

Repeat, and watch the era. Each era nudges difficulty up by 0.33 bits and the fee up by 25%. Early mining is genuinely cheaper; that's not marketing, it's the curve.

Path 2 — CLI mining (dedicated machines)

Clone the repo from github.com/spiritcards and enter the
miner/
folder.

Install dependencies. Run the bundled dry-run mode first — it exercises the full pipeline without sending anything on-chain.

Configure RPC and wallet through environment variables. Say it with us: never put a private key in a file you might commit. Use a dedicated hot wallet with only what you need.

Start the miner. It resolves chainId and the current difficulty on its own, then grinds.

Submit the transaction when it finds a solution — identical work bytes to the browser path, just faster machines and no tab babysitting.

Benchmarks we've actually run (October 2026)

Setup

Hashrate

Time per base card (~20 bits)

Notes

Ryzen 7 5800H laptop, one thread

~211 kH/s

~5 s

Measured with our CLI benchmark

Mid-range phone, browser

device-dependent

minutes, with thermal throttling

Viewing only, in our opinion

High-core desktop, CLI

scales with cores you give it

seconds at base; slows as eras raise difficulty

No special hardware required

We publish our measurement script alongside the miner, so you can reproduce the number on your own hardware instead of trusting ours.

 The cost math nobody mentions

Three line items matter, and two of them surprise people:

The forge fee. Starts near $1 in ETH, rises 25% per era. You pay it whether the card turns out to be a keeper or merge fodder.

The chip. An ERC-1155 "chip" token cuts 30% off your next forge fee. If you're planning a mining session, using a chip first is free money.

Gas. On Robinhood Chain gas runs in hundredths of a gwei, so minting gas is noise compared to the fee. This is exactly why the game can afford to be transaction-heavy — the chain-level guide goes into the numbers.

One more: mining is single-target. You're not "pointing hashrate at a pool" — one valid hash, one card, then the cooldown. Plan sessions, not a firehose.

Three mistakes we've watched new miners make

We've sat through a lot of first sessions by now, and the same three mistakes keep showing up.

Mining on a machine that's already throttling. Laptop on a soft surface, external monitor attached, three Chrome tabs open — and then the miner wonders why it's slow. Give the miner a machine that isn't fighting for heat headroom.

Forgetting the confirmation step. The miner's job ends at "found". The card exists only after the forge transaction confirms. If a session looks stuck, check the wallet for a pending approval before filing a bug report.

Burning the era curve on a whim. The fee rises every era, so undecided duplicates get more expensive to replace over time, not less. Decide whether you're collecting or grazing before you merge your way through a week of mining.

None of these are exotic failure modes. They're the difference between a hobby that behaves and one that eats your weekend.

 FAQ

Does mining work on a phone?
The site is usable, but sustained hashing on a phone will cook your battery and throttle within minutes. We keep a benchmark page for curiosity, not as a farming strategy.

I found a hash but didn't get a card — bug?
Check two things: whether the mint transaction was confirmed, and whether you were inside the cooldown window. A found-and-submitted hash that misses the confirmation step isn't forged yet.

Can I run several miners at once?
Technically yes, and some people do — but the cooldown and the rising era fee apply to the whole game state, not per machine. Multiple rigs mostly buy you more shots at the same curve.

Is the CLI miner safe to run?
It's open source, doesn't phone home, and the docs describe every parameter. Read it before you run it — that's what public code is for.

Limitations — what this guide doesn't cover

Wallet security beyond the basics. If you're mining with meaningful value, use a hardware wallet and a throwaway hot wallet for the grind.

Tax and legal treatment. Your jurisdiction, your accountant.

Profitability claims. Mining produces a card. What it's worth is decided later by other people, and that's not something we control or promise.

 Links we keep handy

Start at spiritcards.fun · source and miner at GitHub · docs EN and 中文 · updates on X · questions in Telegram.

Mining has costs and no guarantees. Verify the contract address from the official site before approving anything.
