I came here to say that I love just/justfile(s) 💥https://just.systems

I will start a project just to create the justfile 🚀

It is such a satisfying tool to use if you are working in the command line

Getting Started 🧨

The barrier to entry is incredibly low:

Install Just: I use a Mac, so that would be brew install just (or use your package manager). https://github.com/casey/just?tab=readme-ov-file#cross-platform
In your project root: just --init
Edit the generated justfile to add your commands
Run just to see available recipes

I always add a default command and use just's build in --list

just help
help:
@just --list`
this is super helpful

it has built in command completions which is awesome, and tons of cool features. if people like this, I will probably type up some more notes to share 💣

hook line and stinker

I am writing a blog post on writing blog posts, because I want to get to the meta of it. I will probably not last writing blog posts because I am not sure I like the style of needing a hook 🪝🎣

I am trying to get through this beginning phase of blogging to more interesting topics, and I have one in mind...

What are the best blog posts on this website? who are the best blog writers? 🧑‍💻

Does AI make good content for blogs, or is it too verbose to be valuable, eg less is more.

I may do a b.s. goal of one post per day, 15 minutes or less. stay tuned 📺
