I Used AI to Build Marketing Assets Without Waiting for a Developer

Marketing teams have a strange problem.

We spend our time identifying opportunities, researching audiences, planning campaigns, and coming up with ideas. But when an idea needs to become an actual product, tool, calculator, or interactive landing page, execution often slows down.

We need a developer. We need resources. We need to get on someone's roadmap.

By the time the thing is ready, the original idea might have changed.

I've been experimenting with a different approach: using AI coding tools to turn marketing ideas into working products.

Not just generating copy or creating images. Actually building things.

From Marketing Ideas to Working Products

Over the past few months, I've been experimenting with AI-assisted development to build marketing assets, including my portfolio website and ideas for interactive lead magnets.

The interesting part isn't that AI can generate code. We've heard that story enough times.

It's that the distance between having an idea and testing it with real users has become much shorter.

Imagine wanting to create a tool that helps a B2B founder choose a marketing technology stack based on their budget, company stage, and growth goals.

Traditionally, this might require a product brief, design mockups, developer availability, and several rounds of implementation.

With AI coding tools, I can start with the problem, define how the tool should work, build an initial version, test it, and iterate.

It won't always work on the first attempt. In fact, it often doesn't. But I can get much further before needing additional resources.

 The Tools I'm Experimenting With

Different tools fit different parts of the workflow. My experiments have included:

Claude Code: Working on codebases, implementing features, debugging issues, and making changes across a project.

Qwen: Exploring AI-assisted coding and alternative approaches to implementation.

Google Antigravity: Experimenting with an AI-driven development workflow.

The specific tool matters less than understanding how to use it effectively.

AI can produce a component that looks right but breaks on mobile. It can generate a page that renders correctly but has poor SEO. It can make a change to one section and unintentionally break another.

You still need to understand what you're building, how the pieces fit together, and how to verify the result.

The biggest skill isn't writing the perfect prompt. It's being able to evaluate the output.

 Vibe Coding a Portfolio Website

My portfolio website has been one of the more interesting experiments.

A portfolio for a marketer doesn't have to be a static collection of projects and a contact form. It can also demonstrate how you think about growth, marketing systems, automation, and technology.

I wanted to explore a website that could bring together my work, marketing tools, GTM frameworks, and experiments.

Building it with AI introduced a different kind of workflow.

Instead of treating the website as a finished design handed over for implementation, I could iterate on the design, structure, interactions, and content while working on the implementation itself.

There were still problems to solve: design inconsistencies, broken interactions, SEO regressions, and features that needed several rounds of refinement.

That's an important distinction between generating a website and building one.

A generated website is a starting point. A useful website needs testing, iteration, and maintenance.

 What About Lead Magnets?

This is where I think AI-assisted development gets particularly interesting for marketers.

Most lead magnets follow a familiar pattern: an ebook, a checklist, a template, or a downloadable guide.

These formats can work. But sometimes the audience needs help making a decision, not another document to read.

Consider a few alternatives:

An ICP scoring tool that helps founders evaluate their target market.

A GTM budget planner that recommends channels based on available resources.

A marketing technology selector that matches tools to a company's stage and budget.

A campaign diagnostic that identifies potential weaknesses in a demand generation strategy.

These assets can provide immediate value while revealing something about the user's needs and intent.

Instead of simply downloading a generic guide, a prospect interacts with a tool to solve a specific problem.

For B2B marketers, that creates opportunities to connect content, qualification, segmentation, and follow-up.

Of course, an interactive tool isn't automatically a better lead magnet. It still needs to solve a real problem, be easy to use, and offer enough value to justify the effort.

But AI-assisted development makes it easier to test these ideas without committing to a large development project upfront.

 The Technology Still Matters

Vibe coding can make implementation feel deceptively simple.

You describe a feature, the AI writes code, and something appears on the screen. But production-ready software involves much more than that.

Depending on the project, you still need to think about:

Frontend: How users navigate and interact with the product.

Backend and data: Where information lives and how the application processes it.

Integrations: How the tool connects with forms, analytics, CRMs, or other services.

SEO and performance: Whether the pages can be discovered, indexed, and loaded efficiently.

Testing and security: Whether the application behaves correctly and protects user data.

The technology stack will vary by project. AI tools can help you choose and implement components, but they don't remove the need to understand the decisions being made.

For marketers, this is an opportunity to develop technical fluency without pretending that using an AI coding assistant makes you an experienced software engineer.

What This Means for AI-First Marketing

I see three practical opportunities.

 1. Test Ideas Before Investing Heavily

Build a small version of a calculator, landing page, or interactive tool to determine whether people actually find it useful.

 2. Turn Expertise Into Useful Experiences

A marketer's knowledge of buyer journeys, positioning, ICPs, and GTM strategy can become something people interact with rather than simply read.

 3. Reduce the Distance Between Insight and Execution

When you identify a problem, you can increasingly explore a working solution yourself instead of stopping at a presentation or a product brief.

None of this eliminates developers or the need for engineering expertise. Complex applications, security-sensitive systems, and products operating at scale still require strong engineering practices.

The opportunity is to become better at identifying what needs to be built, creating an initial version, and validating whether it deserves further investment.

 The Experiment Continues

I'm exploring the intersection of AI-first marketing, GTM systems, automation, and AI-assisted development.

That includes building marketing tools, experimenting with lead magnets, improving my portfolio, and learning what it actually takes to move from an idea to a working product.

I'll share the useful parts of that process, including the tools, technical decisions, mistakes, and lessons along the way.

The goal isn't to build everything with AI.

It's to make more good ideas testable.

If you're a marketer experimenting with AI coding tools, what's the most useful thing you've built so far?

In today’s digital world, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is not just about keywords and content; it’s heavily dependent on the technical aspects that allow your website to be crawled, indexed, and ranked by search engines. Understanding and implementing technical SEO is a must for any digital marketer, webmaster, or business owner wanting to increase their online visibility. This article will cover the technical knowledge needed for SEO, answering questions like “What skills do I need for SEO?” and “What is technical understanding of SEO?”

 Why Technical SEO Matters

Technical SEO focuses on optimizing your website for the crawling and indexing phase. Without a technically sound website, even the best content won’t reach its target audience because search engines can’t crawl or understand your site. Here’s why technical SEO is important:

Improved Crawlability: Search engines can access all your content.

Better Indexing: Get your pages indexed correctly in search engine databases.

Better User Experience: Faster load times, mobile optimization and overall better performance, which can reduce bounce rates and increase conversion rates.

Key Areas of Technical SEO Knowledge

1. Website Structure

A well organized website structure helps users navigate your site and also helps search engines understand the hierarchy and relevance of your content.

Hierarchical Layout: Use a clear hierarchy with home pages, subcategories and individual content pages.

Breadcrumbs: Use breadcrumb navigation to improve user experience and SEO.

2. Sitemaps

Sitemaps are essential for SEO as they provide a roadmap for search engines to follow:

XML Sitemaps: Detail every page you want search engines to crawl, to ensure all pages are found.

Sitemap Submission: Use Google Search Console or other tools to submit your sitemap directly to search engines.

3. URL Optimization

URLs should be clean, descriptive and SEO friendly:

Use Hyphens: They are readable for both users and search engines.

Keep it Short: Shorter URLs are better for SEO.

Include Keywords: Where relevant, add keywords.

4. Proper Tag Usage

Tags like < title >, < meta description >,
tags (H1, H2, etc.) play a significant role:

Title Tags: Unique, descriptive and with primary keyword.

Meta Descriptions: Not a direct ranking factor but impacts CTR.

Header Tags: Organize content and highlight sections for users and search engines.

5. Structured Data Implementation

Structured data helps search engines understand your content:

Schema Markup: Use to define elements like reviews, products or events which can trigger rich snippets in search results.

6. Site Speed Optimization

Site speed is a ranking factor and user experience:

Minimize HTTP Requests: Reduce images, scripts and CSS.

Use Content Delivery Networks (CDNs): Distribute your content closer to users geographically.

Optimize Images: Compress images without losing quality.

7. Mobile-Friendliness

With mobile-first indexing, your site must perform well on mobile devices:

Responsive Design: Ensure your site adapts to various screen sizes.
Mobile Usability: Check for issues like clickable elements being too close together.

8. Crawl and Indexing Issues

Understanding and fixing crawl errors:

Robots.txt: Tell search engine bots what to crawl.

404 Errors: Monitor and fix broken links or redirect them.

9. Server Settings

Server settings impact SEO:

HTTP vs. HTTPS: Use HTTPS for security and SEO benefits.

Server Response Time: Faster server responses.

10. Basic HTML Knowledge

HTML is the foundation of your website:

Semantic HTML: Use semantic tags to describe your content better to search engines.

Clean Code: Less clutter means faster load times and readability.

11. Data from SEO Tools

Using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console or SEMrush:

Find Technical Issues: Use these tools to find crawl errors, broken links or site speed issues.

Track Changes: See how technical changes affect your SEO rankings.

 FAQs on Technical SEO

What is technical content in SEO?

How Neural networks work?

## 1. What is neural network?

Neural networks are a type of artificial intelligence (AI) system inspired by the human brain. A neural network consists of many simple processing units called neurons. Neurons communicate with each other by passing signals along their connections. These connections are weighted according to how strongly they transmit a signal. Each neuron receives input from other neurons, processes this information, and then produces output based on its own internal state.

## 2. How does a neural network learn?

A neural network learns by adjusting the weights between its neurons. As the network receives inputs, it compares these inputs to the outputs produced by previous layers. If the difference between the two is greater than some threshold value, the weight connecting the two neurons is increased. On the other hand, if the difference is less than the threshold, the connection is decreased. In this way, the network adjusts the weights until the error between the actual output and desired output is minimized.

## 3. Why do we need neural networks?

The idea behind using neural networks is to mimic the way our brains learn. Our brains have evolved over millions of years to perform complex tasks such as recognizing faces, understanding language, and playing chess. We believe that AI systems should be able to accomplish similar feats. However, unlike humans, computers don't have any innate knowledge about the world. To teach a computer what things look like, sound like, feel like, smell like, taste like, etc., requires us to program it. Programming a machine to recognize objects is relatively straightforward, but teaching it to understand language is much harder.

## 4. What are the different types of neural networks?

There are three major categories of neural networks: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Supervised learning involves training a neural network to predict future events given past data. Unsupervised learning doesn't require any prior knowledge about the data being processed. Reinforcement learning uses feedback to adjust the behavior of a neural network.

## 5. What are the applications of neural networks?

Neural networks have been applied to a wide range of problems including speech recognition, handwriting recognition, image classification, and natural language processing. Deep learning is a subset of neural networks that use deep architectures. Deep learning has had great success in fields such as object detection, speech recognition, and translation.

Launching your small business startup is much easier with a clear, step-by-step outline; heres what you need to know:

Step 1: Organize your table of contents. With this plan, you'll outline each aspect of your business, such as your mission statement, products and services, number of employees, and information about your target market.

Step 2: Collect attachments and appendix materials. They are vital if you are planning to pitch your online business to potential investors or business partners.

Step 3: Create a list of key topics and sections. This document will create a cohesive document, as well as provide a firm guide for your business planning process.

Step 4: Assign projects and tasks for each area. It helps you break down each goal into action steps, so it is an effective business planning strategy.

Step 5: Write up an executive summary for your small business startup. You can complete the entire plan in a few short pages by doing this step.

Step 6: Get an outsider's perspective. Although you need to keep your business planning strategy and ideas confidential, talking to trusted colleagues or friends about your plan can provide you with some insights.

Digital marketing has more than its share of jargon for the individual to learn.

As marketing is all about getting and keeping new customers, I could see we online marketers have an image problem.

A client who was interested in taking his business online pointed the online marketing jargon out to me vividly and asked for an explanation.

He stopped me mid-sentence with the words “speak English geek boy” that was my wake up call.

I'm writing this short guide to digital marketing jargon, to help anyone on the outside of the digital marketing circle get on the inside much quicker.

1) Digital Marketing, is selling any product or service online. It’s this low cost of entry which is attractive in starting your own online business.

2) Joint Ventures, a joint venture is a partnership. Simply put, 2 or more people work together to increase their sales, or to complete a product or service.

3) Subscriber List is a list of people who have given permission for the marketer to send them emails which may contain adverts.

This is also known as an opt-in list, because subscribers opt in to receive the emails.

4) Viral Marketing, this little phrase is used to describe a way of increasing your business, or websites reach, by using a “viral technique”.

In real life, a virus spreads out by people contacting one another.

Some clever people realised they could use the power of people sending each other information, and watch information about their own business being spread in the same way as a virus.

5) Niche Marketing, this is the act of selling to a particular group of people.

An example of a niche market is poodle owners. They are dog owners, but will specifically search for information about poodles.

These markets can be profitable because many people do not target directly them so if you have a product tailored to a niche market you have little or no competition.

Online Marketing In A Nutshell

Online is a place where people throw darts into the darkness hoping to hit a bullseye someday.

People tend to think that big traffic can cause good business without considering the type of people who visit the site.
This is the worst sort of Marketing Online.

No matter how revolutionary your product or service is, unless it is backed by a well-thought-out Digital Marketing strategy, it is as good as being non-existent.

You have got to be as sure as any of the conventional brick and mortar businesses.

When trying to establish an online business, the biggest challenge is breaking the great wall of non-presence.

When you set up your online shop, you don’t know them and they don’t know you.

You need to make your presence felt; you need to set up an identity for yourself that tells your visitors that you are not an unemployed weirdo trying to dupe visitors from your dark and unheated basement.

There should be an appearance of authenticity on your website.

How can you do that?

Wait for the next part.
